Growth Null salvation

Would you still choose to follow god if there was no salvation or afterlife. I have to be honest here salvation means nothing to me, I don't want to follow god so I'll receive a scooby snack at the end. I want to follow him because he is the great I am and because I know I'll only hurt myself and others if I navigate this life without any guidance.

Our walk with Him is where it counts ... Viewing salvation as the way to get on His path and growing in Him... Afterlife or heaven is just getting home after the long walk...

But would you still do it for him if there was no home to go to.

If there were no salvation or afterlife, how would you know that He is "the great I am"?

Without salvation or an afterlife, how would God be any different than all the other deities in the world?

If salvation means nothing then Jesus died for nothing and " we are all men most miserable".

1Co 15:12-20 KJV Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? (13) But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: (14) And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. (15) Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. (16) For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: (17) And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. (18) Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. (19) If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (20) But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

ironmonk this is a good post as it makes one think what it would be like here on earth without that of Gods grace and mercy.
If there were no salvation or an afterlife and since it repented God that he made man, Genesis 6:6, then none of us would even be here if God did not find favor in just one man,Noah.

Yes i would mainly because of what He has told me in His word..

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

I think I understand what you are saying. I would still follow God even if there was no afterlife in heaven. It is hard to make an exact comparison but it is kind of like as a parent I want my children to still love me and obey me even if I don't reward them for everything they do.
