This may offend some people, so if your squeamish, turn away.
Why read the Bible when the scriptures are up on the projection screens? We have more than enough technology to put Bible verses up on the screens at my church, but we don't. It is one of the ways we encourage our people to bring a bible when they come. If they don't have a Bible, we ask them if they would like a Bible to use and take home with them. There is something about having it in your hands, and following along. It gives a sense of ownership. Plus ... anything we can do to combat human nature, helps. We all have a tendency to be lazy with the most important things in life, don't we? I am certainly no exception.

I need to finish reading the whole Bible. I made it up to Job in the Old Testament and read the Gospels and Revelation in the New. Sometimes the Old Testament can be boring though. 1 and 2 Kings were so hard to get through.
