Old Lady-Grams

Hello Every One,

I am Grams, and am so very glad to be saved..... [" I am 82"]

Because for over 50 some years I was going to the Catholic Church and never felt saved!

I do hear things have changed now, but its to late for me to go back, now that I found a plain

Bible Church , and we use bibles......... Which back then we did not even have one.

Coming to a forum is good for me, because I can not speak to people about God and what the

bible says...... My memory does not retain enough ! [" I mean I need the bible to look up verses that
I want to talk about "]

I have a girl friend that still goes to the Catholic Church and am trying to find out if she is saved she

says she is, but back then I would have also, but now I know what being saved is all about !

Back then going to confession made me to be saved ! And as soon as I made a sin I was

scared I was going to hell. Now with finally having a bible , the church back then did not tell; us to

get a bible or use one! Reading and re-reading sure does help me. The bible seems to grow each

and every time I read it !
Talking about God helps me out also.....

This is great Sister I'M Grams. It's amazing that last night I was talking last night to my bride of sixty years about sins of omission, and sins of commission, and no matter what, a trip to the confessional was in order. Looking back, I know that I had called on the name of our Lord many times, and was saved, but had no clue to the ramifications of its totality or benefits to my eternal life. It's sort of hard understanding Latin with the untrained ear, and the missals.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?

I have a wonderful pastor friend I do transcribing for in his teachings, and he told of a friend that had a calling to go into Mexico, live there, and evangelize to their spiritual needs. Without a doubt they came to have not only the knowledge that they were saved, but sincere fellowship too. Now when it came to going home to be face to face with our Savior, they wanted a priest to come and give last rights; old habits are harder to overcome at times, but just like those of Rom 14:1-3 said to be weak in the faith not eating certain things, we can truly love them because God has received them, and more than that to know that they are our brethren.
Rom 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

I say to just share God's love among us where they allow us to with bits of scripture from their Bible, and watch how God doesn't let that seed sown come back to Him void.

Love you sister, and blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2
