One Question For God - What do YOU ask?

OK, so you get to heaven and God tells you that, for now, you get to have just one question answered, but it can be any question.

What do you ask, and why?

why did you love this worthless race, that even after you sent your son to die for us, we still rejected him?

I never quite understand these kinda questions to believers. The reason why is for a couple of reasons #1 the question says " when you get to heaven"- but we are in heavenly places NOW with Christ and our conversation is in heaven NOW so why does the question make us wait?

#2 the question says " you get to ask God one question" But God lives IN US NOW, and we have communion with Him. We speak to Him and He speaks to us so why are we waiting and why do we only get one? I ask Him questions all the time and He is faithful to answer either right away, or later and a couple times to wait and then show me why it was better for me to not know the answer.

I dont wanna like mess up your thread LOL but maybe a good question would be, what have you asked God and what was His answer?

Well, I intended the thread to be fun (though I did do a poor job of explaining that). Everything you said is true, and we can commune with our Lord at will. The questions I was thinking of were more like, "How do black holes work?" and "What really happened to Jimmy Hoffa?" :)

We'll have time to get to the important stuff (time being irrelevant and all).

What I ask the Lord for is usually the same all the time:

- Please protect my family while I am away (I drive and am gone for 2-4 days at a time).
- Please keep ME safe so that I can return home to see my family after every trip.
- Please bless the people I transport (I say special prayers for people as I see a need).
- Please provide just enough income for family expenses (my family of five lives on $2000 a month).

And to each and every one of these he has said, "Done. What next?"

Well, I'm not a Christian. But I'd ask "Why?". If he exists, he'll know what I mean by the question.

Same thing I'd ask him. Its a very important question and would answere all questions.

Exactly.

Lance, Chatty, when you ask God, "Why?", would your question be "Why did God allow so much suffering?" or "Why was I such a jerk to God?"

As for my question, if I could only ask him only one, then I'd ask Him if I could behold Him in all of His glory, and that He would not withhold any of it.

No, just "Why?". Its a question that I think only an Omnipitent, Omnipotent, Omnipresent entity could answere fully.

Just "Why?". Only God in the Christian sense could be able to answer that fully and to the extent that it is intended.

"Why not?"

"Why not?"
Because we can.
