Open Your Eyes! This Is Gruesome But It’s In The Bible = II Kings 6;24-30

Open Your Eyes! This is gruesome but it’s for the “We are in the Last Days” deniers and scoffers. JESUS said that it would be like it was in the days of Noah when He returns. Back then the people were so evil, perverted and corrupted that God had to kill ALL the people on the entire Earth except Noah.

The Biblical event is quite similar to Last Week’s event. GOD is sending Jesus soon to get us out of this mess! Get Ready, Be Ready, Stay Ready!

** Biblical event:

II Kings 6;24-30

And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria. And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver. And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? Out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?

And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son tomorrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son. And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.

** Last Week’s event:

Ex-husband and relatives charged with murder of Hong Kong model Abby Choi as body parts found CNN Updated 3:33 AM EST, Mon February 27, 2023

Hong Kong CNN

Four members of the same family charged in connection with the gruesome killing of Hong Kong model, Abby Choi, appeared in court Monday, after police said they found what are believed to be parts of her dismembered body, public broadcaster RTHK reported.

Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony, 31, and their father, Kwong Kau, 65, are charged with her murder. Alex Kwong’s mother Jenny Li, 63, is charged with perverting the course of justice, RTHK reported.

On Sunday, investigators identified a skull, several ribs and hair, believed to be Choi’s remains, in a large stainless steel soup pot, police said. Other body parts, including Choi’s torso and hands, remain missing.

It follows a police investigation that began Wednesday after Choi, 28, was reported missing. Two days later, parts of her body were found at a house in the city’s Tai Po district, police said. A meat slicer, an electric saw, and some clothing were also found at the home, police said.

JESUS said that it would be like it was in the days of Noah when He returns. Back then the people were so evil, perverted and corrupted that God had to kill ALL the people on the entire Earth except Noah.
I think Jesus meant that “people would be clueless”. Back in the day of Noah, people were going about their ordinary (sinful) lives in blissful ignorance that anything was about to happen when destruction overtook them swiftly and unaware. Jesus was saying that the last days would be similar … people going about their ordinary (sinful) lives in blissful ignorance that anything was about to happen. Then THE END will suddenly overtake them.

The message for Christians is that we need to be perpetually prepared. Which requires nothing more or less than to be found doing the Lord’s work WHENEVER He returns!

...in other words, sinless !

Why would Mary have an edge on anyone else as far as living without sin?
John was addressing those who walked in darkness/sin with verse 8 of 1 John 1.
He was also addressing those who walk in darkness/sin with verses 6 and 10.
He was addressing those who walk in light/God with verses 5, 7, and 9.
He was using an A-B, A-B, A-B system of verses in order to juxtapose the lives of those who still sinned against the lives of those now in God.
Paul used the same system in Rom 8, where he juxtaposed the lives of those who were still in the flesh against those who were now walking in the Spirit.

It is possible to live without sin if your repentance from sin is real.
Just do it and watch God work !

The Immaculate Conception is the conception of the Most Holy Virgin Mary “without any stain”, in other words, free from original sin. Mary was, from her very origin, completely devoid of sin. In each of her apparitions (Marian apparitions) the Immaculate Conception thus shines forth goodness, light and grace.

The Immaculate Conception: What does this mean ?

For many people, the “Immaculate Conception” means that Mary became the Mother of Jesus thanks to the Holy Spirit, without carnal relationship with Joseph. However, as the Christian faith assures us, the conjugal relationship is not in itself a sin: “If marriage were a sin, it could not be a sacrament […]”, Mgr. Jacques Perrier, Bishop Emeritus of Tarbes and Lourdes reminds us. Throughout history Christians have venerated the Virgin Mary. She is represented in the catacombs, in 431 she is recognized as the Mother of God at the Council of Ephesus (currently Turkey), a fully saintly Mother who remained untouched by sin. The lack of a dogmatic definition has not prevented Christians from celebrating the conception of Mary without sin: The immaculate conception, inspired by the account of the Annunciation; Mary is the woman “full of grace” (Lk. 1: 28).

Why was the Virgin Mary conceived without sin?

“The Immaculate Conception of Mary does not concern the past but the future”, as Mgr. Perrier, Bishop Emeritus of Tarbes and Lourdes explains:

“The Virgin Mary is preserved from any trace of sin so as that she can fulfill the mission God wishes to entrust to her: That of becoming the Mother of the Son, of the Savior of his people and of Humanity. Accepting to become the virgin Mother of the Son of God requires a faith of which no one, in the Old Testament, was ever capable. It calls for total liberty, not with a liberty of indifference, but a liberty of giving of oneself, which makes it possible to say “yes” to that which surpasses us”.
To welcome the Savior, Mary could not hold in her heart the slightest trace of hesitation or rejection. God required that the gift of his love should find a perfectly pure faith, a soul without sin; that is why Mary is the Immaculate Conception.

NOVENA TO THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

In December, we invited you to pray a beautiful novena to the Immaculate Conception, written by Mgr. Perrier who explains:

“When we recite the Rosary, we meditate, decade after decade, on a moment of the life of Christ. Often, the Virgin Mary is involved in it, particularly in the joyful mysteries. We can, in a way, form a mental picture of the scene, as painters have often done. Even the Assumption of Mary can be imagined, by analogy, with the Ascension of Jesus. But the Immaculate Conception? We have no support for our prayer. Besides, there is no decade devoted to this mystery of the Immaculate Conception.”
The feast day has been celebrated in Rome since 1477 and, in 1854, Pope Pius IX established, on the occasion of the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception that “the Most Blessed Virgin Mary at the first moment of her conception was, by singular grace and privilege of the Omnipotent God, in virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the Human race, preserved from all stains of original sin”.

Less than four years after the solemn proclamation of this dogma of the Immaculate Conception in Saint Peter’s Basilica, a Beautiful Lady, appearing for the sixteenth time to Bernadette Soubirous, finally revealed her name to her: “I am the Immaculate Conception”. It was March 25th, 1858, on the feast of the Annunciation. The bishop of the area recognized the authenticity of the apparitions, without declaring them an article of faith. Towards the end of her life, Bernadette wrote to the Pope, who was still Pius IX:

“I think the Holy Virgin is kind. It is as if she had come to confirm the word of our Holy Father.”

Please do not make this thread about Catholic or Protestant and keep this to the topic of the OP. This thread is not about sinless perfection.

Do not reply to this.

The day of the Lord will come like a theif in the night and then it will be like in the day of Noah when they mocked and scoffed his preaching of the word. This world is truly waxing worse and worse and those who are Christ own need to stand in a greater faith as we trust God in all things as we had better be prepared right now for those things which must come first before His return.

2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

I suspect the world becoming worse is a case of “rose colored rear view mirror”.
  • 1970s (50 years ago) segregation was illegal but still the norm.
  • 1920s (100 years ago) children died working in mines and factories; a husband beating his wife was a ‘private family matter’.
  • 1870’s (150 years ago) slavery had been abolished for less than 5 years and the lives of most freed slaves remained unchanged
  • 1820s (200 years ago) settlers swept westward crushing the native Americans in their path as plantation slavery on an industrial scale took off in the south. The average life expectancy was 35 years.
So the evil of the world has changed, but a case can be made that things are not significantly worse than they were in the past.

If you use one false doctrine to beef up another false doctrine, you will end up with false doctrine.

1 John 1:8 [KJV] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

The verse seems clearer and more credible than your explanation.
Who is "WE" in 1 John 1?
Were your interpretation of verse 8 true, then verses 7 and 9 are lies.
So are Romans 6:7,18, and 22 lies.
And 1 Peter 4:1 is a lie.
John uses an "alternating" system when he wrote 1 John 1...just as Paul used in Rom 8.
John juxtaposes those who walk in darkness with those who walk in the light.
Paul used the system to juxtapose those who walked in the Spirit with those who walked in the "flesh".

As for 1 John 1...
Verses 5, 7, and 9 address those who walk in God, the light.
Verses 6, 8, and 10 address those who walk in darkness, sin.
Sinners can't honestly say they have no sin.
Neither can they honestly say they have fellowship with God.
So, which are you walking in?
Sin?
Or God?

I suspect the world becoming worse is a case of “rose colored rear view mirror”.

So the evil of the world has changed, but a case can be made that things are not significantly worse than they were in the past.
Just remember, the past has many times repeated itself throughout history and that which must come first will continue to wax worse until Christ returns.
