[__ Prayer __] Opie need prayer

Vic,

I'm terribly sorry about your cat. You may remember I went throught that in October with my dog of 12 years. I know how much a person can love a pet, and I'm sure Opie will be sorely missed in your house. :(

Thank you so much Caroline. I do remember. I can't say myself the last few hours together with Opie were special, but they were still precious nonetheless. It was a tough, tough night and without the Lord's comfort, it would have been that much tougher. Yes, that memory will subside a bit, but it's that one that haunts me the most right now.

I made a mistake Wed. night that could have been a setback for my other cat, but he seems to be ok. My PC is hooked up to my entertainment center. I was watching some music videos on my 32" TV that were on the PC. Alex was on the couch also. When they were done, I got up and minimized the player. My wallpaper is the pic you see as my avatar.

Well of course it showed up on the 32" and of course Alex saw it! He jumped off the couch and got right up in front of the TV. His eyes opened wide and his head was moving back and forth as he scanned the picture. I don't know what he thought of that, but I do know he recognized his ol' buddy. :o

I quickly turned it off and reassured him that everything will be alright.

It's all good though. :amen

I hope that you'll take comfort Vic in knowing that Opie isn't suffering anymore. I pray that helps ease your pain- we know Opies' in a much better place and pain free. From a cats' perspective I'm glad that you were there for Opie- his last memories were of you and I believe that Opie took comfort in that knowing you were there for him. Blessings to you & Alex.

This is the Day the Lord has made; let us rejoice & be glad in it

Hi Vic~ :waving

Gosh, you and your Alex seem to be going thru some very sad grieving. I can only understand your hurting, and look to the Lord's word with you dear brother toward the time when all our pain will cease.

Rev. 21:4+5 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

One day Vic... so, we watch, we wait, and we will see. n :yes

In our Lord's promise... bonnie

We both still miss him but everything's cool Bonnie. Alex appears to be fine and I'm observing him as closely as I can. He seems to be ok with the fact that he's got me all to himself now. :yes

Thanks Rosalee. :) That's right, there's no more pain and suffering. I even sent the Vet's office a little "thank you" gift for making Opie's last few hours on earth as comforting as possible.

Vic~

I praise our Lord for bringing His comfort to you "guys"! :D How tender-hearted is our God, Who looks into every nuance of our daily lives and ministers His peace and love so constantly!

What a wonder!

In Him... bonnie :shades
