But why that SMALL piece of land? It isn't even the best piece of land in the world. Not by far. It is tiny, topographically uninteresting, . . . surrounded by enemies, so having a constant threat of attack, . . . . it doesn't seem like much of a good place to live to me. :-?
 
Well, It may not be the most intersting land but it is Diverse. The dead sea is the lowest point on land on earth. It's meditterraen climate with 2 seasons is productive to agriculture. It use to be a flourishing landscape in ages past, hence the name "a land flowing with milk and honey". And Strategically it sits between 3 continents, with access on 2 sides to the world's oceans.
 
I don't know, . . . . seems like Hawaii would have been a better "Promised Land". . . . . or the Bahamas. . . .. . . . :wink:
