smigen,
Ahhh, the days of being a single tech 8-) (When you could afford a $400 video card). :-D
Yeah, I'm a single tech alright, but I still can't afford those $400.00+ vid cards. I'm blessed to be working in a shop that receives alot of donated equipment from Intel, Sandia Lab's, DoD, Air Force Research Lab's etc...., as they upgrade.

Have you gotten Wine to work?
I've never been compelled to run it. Debian's [apt-cache search ?????] and [apt-get install ????] has gotten me any GNU app that I require. I see it as Win32 app's being for Windows. FreeBSD & OpenBSD's packages are fairly diverse, with the later being the slimest in regards to choises. If all else fails and I just gotta have a app that isn't in either's package repository there's always source/compile.

I'd love to go purely Red Hat or Mandrake (If Mandrake would support Raid 0)
Deb's native SCSI support is quite nice off of the
netmini.iso. Give it a whirl sometime. I had no problems with it setting up a RAID0, RAID1, RAID7 config on a system of 12 - 18g 80 pin drives using a dual channel DAC960.

What hardware platform are you running Solaris on?
This is what I meant by being blessed.
1 - SUN Ultra 10
2 - SUN Enterprise E3000's
1 - SUN Storedge A5200
2 - SUN Sparcstation5's
All of it has floated into our shop for scraping/recycle.......then found it's way to my house to play with.
I got 3 more SparcStation5's sitting under my bench for spare parts. Ya want 1? (u cover shipping)
