Paul traveled to nations to those that believed in gods. Paul takes notice of their acknowledgment. They may earnestly seek to know a one true real God or settle on many of them. Paul had to share with them the one true real God.
So if one is serving another god is He then serving Christ? Is he conscious of the light? In Matthew 4 They in the region sat in the darkness but light had dawned upon them. They in the region sat in the shadow of death and they had seen light. So before they knew Jesus they did not know the light.. We have the Revelation of Jesus then so representing the Light of God.
Can consciousness alone know this Light? Will this conscious seek the true God? The Patriarch yet had not sent the Word since it was Moses later who wrote these things. God had personal communication with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. Even also to Moses I think this was important since the word then did not exist in anything. God in some way needed to reveal appearing in dreams, visions, a voice of Heaven, and a fire of flame. The presence of God could be heard audible. But God is still yet a holy God. He revealed himself in places of sacrifices and worship. God had Moses place this in writing. Even to those prophets and now the disciples of the New Testament. It now seems we find the truth of God in this writing to give us revelations about God. We can’t fully know God without knowing His word. Consciousness is not enough remember. Moses did not even know who God was before he was called. It is much why he was in great fear in God’s presence. He did not know God’s commandments. Moses even tried to ask God please God I can’t speak well. Choose someone else to do this work for you.
If one is serving another god it does not substitute serving the one true God. But if this person is in question of this god and concerning to call out whom is the one true God how will God deal with this person? I don’t want to make a judgment. This is where God comes in. I made observations of other gods. But I don’t have the answer to those who seek to know the one true. I will let God discern this.
