As I said, IF Jesus is your Lord and Saviour... why do you reject His words?

Lastly, whilst there are other potential quotes to support Christian exclusivism, primarly from John, I reject them as either as additions to Christ's words, or as being taking out of context and not in line with Jesus actually meant by it.
So you reject His words as:
  • (1) additions to what He said or
    (2) out of context
You offer no proof of either.

Jesus testifies that He is the only way

  • John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

John 10:14-15 (Jesus said:) "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know meâ€â€just as the Father knows me and I know the Fatherâ€â€and I lay down my life for the sheep."

John 6:37-40 (Jesus said:) "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

Mark 8:34-35 Then he (Jesus Christ) called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it."

Luke 10:16 (Jesus said to the seventy-two:) "He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."

Luke 10:22 (Jesus said:) "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

Luke 13:22-24 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He (Jesus Christ) said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to."

Matthew 26:27-28 Then he (Jesus Christ) took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins...."
The Apostle John's testimony about Jesus

  • 1 John 2:2 (John wrote:) He (Jesus Christ) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 4:10 (John wrote:) This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins...

1 John 5:11-12 (John wrote:) And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Peter, John (the Apostle) and John (the Baptist) testify that Jesus is the only way

  • Acts 4:12 (Peter said:) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Acts 5:31-32 (Peter and the other apostles said:) God exalted him (Jesus Christ) to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. We are witness of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.

John 3:36 (John the Baptist said:) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.
Luke writes about Paul and Silas as they testify that Jesus is the only way

  • Acts 16:29-31 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They (Paul and Silas) replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be savedâ€â€you and your household."

You know, as my experience with Christianity, I was in love with it. Then I got to know a Muslim and was interested in JUST learning about another religion.

However, in my findings I discovered and uncovered at great lengths mind you, many discrepancies. My family are hard going Christians and will do anything at lengths to defend their religion in WORDS I should say....SOME have the decency to search with ya. Anyways, my cousin, who is a pastor in Tennessee, I wrote to him a few times and he just got stumped with my questions...his answers "just gotta believe". My X pastor..."just gotta have faith"...I went on prayer lines, TV, had Christian fellowships, talked with preachers, sunday school teachers...the works...all I got was "ya just gotta have faith".

To me this sounded so unreal. They try and prove to me something that is illogical and then say well if you don't believe you will be in hellfire. What a copout way of proving their point of view....I talked to Jerry Falwell on the phone before I became a muslim and he prayed with me on the phone...etc....then when I entered into Islam, I called him back. He then told me or actually made fun of my becoming a Muslim and then told me I was never really a Christian to begin with!...Amazing really....I was an ongoing church girl from babyhood....did accept Jesus into my heart, baptised, went to church even four times a day...(visitation on Thurs. where you go out and try and bring people in)...I went to revivals, sung in the choir...actually was singin special, went to church camp...then.....wham! I am and have never been a christian....AMAZING...

This is such a wrong attitude that Christians have. I do not mean to offend anyone, but just because questions cannot be answered, does not mean you are all on the correct way. On the contrary, one should try to their upmost ability to search for them...

To me, God wouldn't just leave you to wonder aimlessly in the world He created and set rules to abide with. To guess and choose what you think God wants from you is putting you above God.

Anyways, all I am saying is...God is above all that.

hopefearmercy

Well so far here on this forum, you have not written anything which would even remotely stump even the most average Christian. In fact, you have already shown a very definite lack of Biblical knowledge.

"Accepting Jesus into your heart" or singing in the choir or going on a camp does not make you a Christian. Never has; never will.

Christianity is NOT about being in love with Christianity. That is called religion. How can you ever be in love with a religion? True Christianity is about being in love with our Lord and Saviour and having a transformed life by the working of the Holy Spirit. You obviously never experienced the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said it: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven..... " Read it all at Matthew 7:15-23. I think the first part describes Muhammad very well!!

On the other hand, as soon as you are stumped on Islam you keep telling us that we must learn Arabic!

Have you ever honestly studied the Hadith? You said you would respond to my study of the Hadith.

Have you ever honestly looked at Muhammad's life, using Islamic sources like the Hadith (Bukhari and Muslim), al-Tabari's Ta'rikh, Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah?

Have you ever studied the history of the terrible wars, deceit and murders by Muhammad's closest followers after his death?

Then compare that to Jesus' followers after His death.

Jesus said that we would know false prophets "by their fruits".

Many people marry promising an entire lifetime of commitment to their partner. Later in the marriage, they divorce their partner, often as if there were no sincere marriage relationship at all. Does this mean that many people imagine marriages? Are some marriages shams while other are totally committed? Are these "sham marriages" discernable from the "real" marriages? How do you know Quath, if you are in an imagined or uncommitted marriage or not?
People that divorce do not doubt their spouse had existed. yet people that fall away from Christianity doubt the Holy Spirit was really with them. There is a big difference in this.

These people thought they had a spirit in them. At the time when they thought they had the Holy Spirit, do they have it, or do they think they do but don't?

Quath

People that divorce often dought that the love existed. Think a little more metaphsically, Quath. (The marriage is supposed to be formed of "love", right?) So, did the love exist or not? Was love imagined, or was real but lost, or given up? I think the answer is obvious: Love is real, and relations(marriages) are made of love, but can be broken, even making the participents beleive the love never existed becuase the commitment was so much stronger at first.

I think the Holy spirit is the same way. The Spirit is real, but some people "divorce" it. Ending the "love". Even doughting it's very existence in the first place.
