I think people don't give themselves permission sometimes to just be quiet and spend time with God without expectation. Jesus often had his own quiet time in the mornings to pray and connect with His Father, right? In Mark 1:35, it is written, “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” This verse highlights His intentionality in seeking solitude to communicate with the Father before engaging with the demands of His ministry. And, in Luke 5:16, we see that “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed,” pointed attention to the importance of quiet moments for spiritual renewal and personal healing (believe me, this is my case - it's the scars others don't see or understand - that is between me and God alone). His example teaches believers the importance of starting the day with prayer and reflection, seeking strength and guidance from God before facing life’s challenges. I try to do a quiet walk in my neighborhood every morning after the kids go to school. It's just me and the Lord time.
