Our roles in HEAVEN

Classik

Member
No matter how stupid this sounds I still want to ask it. I may know some of the roles we are to play There.

---
What would be our roles in HEAVEN? What are we going to HEAVEN for? What are our Roles and responsibilities in HEAVEN? Did the bible foretell something?

:salute :wave

I always imagined that I'd be playing the flute and singing songs .... :sing

Revelations 22:3
No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

.... perhaps that's what I'd be doing ....... :sing

No! That's boring.... Where did you get this crazy idea of singing? How long are you going to be singing? Eternity?

God did not create us to sing or serve. Did He? He created us to rule over earth. (as we see in Gen 1:28)

Now, in Heaven, we are going to rule over the entire creations of God by sitting on the throne of Christ with Him ruling with a rod of Iron as we see in Rev 3:21 and Rev 2:27.

I'm glad there's one Christian here who "gets it". It's not about "dying and going to heaven", and it's not about "being the people of the Kingdom", i.e. heaven being merely grateful subjects. That's unbiblical, pagan doctrine that the unbelievers believe.

It's about ruling and reigning with Christ. And guess what? The feast of Tabernacles foreshadows the millennial Kingdom, which is yet a greater harvest than Pentecost (that of the church). That means more people will be saved later. That's a far cry from "getting everyone saved now". God did not intend all chiefs and no injuns so-to-speak. The church is the firstfruits of His salvation and more later on when GOD does the calling, not when feeble man decides to "accept Christ".

I know we are to worship HIM in heaven. How about other activities?
Thanks. I will be playing the happy musical instrument called 'Piano/keyboard'

This sounds strange, Felix. What creations?

Classik , this reminds me of the song " i can only imagine " by Casting Crowns

surrounded by your glory
what will my heart feel
will i dance for You Jesus
or in all of You be still
will i sing Halleluyah
will i be able to speak it all
i can only imagine....

Creations includes every living thing God created including angels in Heaven.

(1Cor 6:3) Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

Tim,

Can you expand on this? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

Thanks.

Since we are told we will be kings and priests in the Kingdom, study up on the priestly duties in Leviticus. Then you'll know what we'll be doing. :yes
