i just found out that each team brings 11 or 12 balls to a game, and before the game the refs check each teams balls out to to see if the balls are up to snuff. And then they give the balls back to the teams. So now peope are saying why don't they hold on to the balls instead of giving them back to the teams. Now the refs check to see if the balls are I think 11 PSI so that would mean that before they give them back to the teams. So that would mean that New England deflated them. The things is some quarter backs like a softer ball and some like a hard. So now we come to did New England break the rules ? No

The balls need to be between 13.5 and 14.5 PSI, and the balls were two PSI under the NFL regulated guidelines, as the amount of air in the balls were different when measured at half time.

If the balls do not meet league requirements after the initial screening, then they have been altered with and it is cheating. Of course this would be done based upon the QBs preference, as he is the one who selects the balls that he wants to use in the game. Not the coach or any of the coaching staff, only the QB, and he coordinates with his equipment staff to ensure they are to his specifications. So it is likely that Brady had his equipment staff alter the game balls after the refs had inspected the balls. Being a little older, and his grip strength not being what it is, it would be advantageous to have a ball easier to grip in those difficult weather conditions. They are also noted for trying to pull this off in the past, as the NFL was warned of this possibly happening by the Ravens prior to this game.

Did they cheat? Yes. Are they all to blame? Highly unlikely, and this is probably confined to Tom Brady and the equipment staff, as insider information let's us know that these are the only people involved with the selection and maintenance of the footballs used in the game.

They should take the 2 teams with the lowest stats and let them play the Superbowl.

At least it wasn't a break. That hit looked pretty bad.

I am not all that happy about the outcome of Sunday's game, but I certainly don't wish any ill on anyone because of it.
Whe Philly plays him next year we will break it. And thanks man, my bad, it is 13 and 14 PSI thanks for the correction.

I personally hope they DO NOT get disqualified from the SB, because the Seahawks or going to kick their..........

That's right, they are going down, no messin' around with the Hawks! :biggrin2

Tom Brady is 2nd to Montana as the all time best quarterback, makes you wonder if that is legitimate too, doesn't sound like it.

That's wrong Jesse.
Brady is the best, not the 2nd best.

I suppose the Hawks could tone it down for pretty boy Brady - but why? lol

He has a sprain and will play, he played with the sprain already. They'll give him one of those shots that take away pain - maybe?
That's called cortisone.
That's a steroid.

The video in the link was saying it makes the balls easier to hang onto. But not being real knowledgeable on this, I have to wonder, wouldn't that be an equal advantage to both teams? Or does each side play with their own balls? Can't say I ever paid attention to that before.

dis is why my mama says fooseball is of the devil!

Debul, not devil.

Foosbal is da debul.
