"Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5.9

Hi. I recently joined this forum.

There is so much division in the world. What we need is peace. It is nice to find a community of people who are not afraid to let the gospel be spread. Thank you for this forum and for letting me be a member. I welcome you all with peace.

Just to tell you a little about myself...

I was raised Catholic, but in 2016, I changed my beliefs. Now, I am just Christian, not Catholic or Protestant. This year (2024), I returned to churchgoing at a nondenominational church near my home. I stopped going to Catholic church services in 2013, but it was in 2016 that I finally made up my mind and began to think of myself as other than Catholic. The church near my home that I go to is nice. I find them to be very positive and I feel welcome there. They might not always be correct on some theological matters, but they have a good, positive Christian message. I am not opposed to Catholics, or Protestants; I just believe that all Christians should be united. That is how things were at the beginning with Jesus and the Apostles and that is how it should remain. Divisions have come about, but I believe in a unified church. I appreciate many things that I learned from the Catholics, but I must move on from them now. I suppose nondenominational is where I will affiliate with for now, but I hope to be united with all Christians throughout the world and through all time.

I have learned that the only real peace comes from Jesus Christ. Not the world. Welcome to the forum.

I feel the same way as you nondenominational.....Christ is not divided ... there is one body of Christ.
