Persecution and Hate

When I was out in the streets going to people houses to get high I would experience being treated badly(ill-treatment) like being called names, talked down to and a lot of people being in conversations with other, being in my personal life. I would get a lot of hate also because most of the people I would hang around were white and I'm black. These are 2 things that I am dealing with right now and I don't know how to prevent these things from happening on my daily life. Of course, now I am clean and sober and sometimes there just seems no way out of it and the only thing to do is to wait it out for it to stop. I feel like there are other ways that I could manage it. It's apart of my life now so I'm looking to see how I could get it to stop .

Welcome to the site !
It saddens me to hear of the treatment you are enduring, but keep on the right path and peoples' memories will change.
And so will their actions.
Be the light in every room you enter !

Hey All,
My heart goes out to you blessed_me23. I am sending you a big old hug.🫂 Unfortunately, we haven't found a way to stop hatred. Just know that that one day, One Day, Oh Yes It's Coming, Satan is gonna get what's coming to him. We will be sipping on a Coke in heaven, singing the Beatles "Hello, Good Bye" song. (Let's face it, Coke is everywhere. They probably have a vending machine in heaven.)

I am so glad you are clean and sober. Please stay that way. Life can be enjoyable if you are sober. Please make wise choices in life. You still have time. Find something you love to do. Then find a way to make a living doing it. As a kid I loved making models. Cars, ships, stuff like that. I became a manufacturing person that put stuff together for a living. I loved going to work. You see what I mean?

Choose friends that pull you forward instead of hold you back. Again, please make wise choices about where you hang out. Don't be in places where you are likely to hear racism. If you hear it, and it affects you like you describe, you gotta pass it on to the Lord. Like Jesus on the cross, "Father, forgive them. They know not what they do." He will take your burden. Then you get back up and start walking that straight and narrow way. Straight and narrow way is not just a saying in Scripture. It is a key to life. It will put joy in your heart. If there is joy in your heart, guess what? All that other stuff goes away. You know why? Ain't no room for it. Joy will let happiness in. But not hatred or anger or anything like that.

Well I've rambled on enough for now. Again, welcome blessed_me23. I hope this helps you.
Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,
Taz

Before i was born again i had already had bad social interactions and when i decided to be born again "baptized" it seemed to be the same .It just got better over time. I guess i'm thinking that when you get baptized or saved etc.. , these things are supposed to come to a stop immediately. Are they? Or is it just me? On a side note, I don't think that should happen. I believe when you get saved that your problems should cease, not continue like it has. I think it should have stopped at that very moment.

I dunno 🤷‍♂️

In my life…it took time. Now I have very few real friends but I do have friendly acquaintances and an excellent relationship with my parents.

On the downside I’m a pariah lol 😆 I think 🤔 it’s because the Lord has brought deliverance and people on the broad road aren’t big on that.,,

Happens.
