[__ Prayer __] Pit Bull Attack

Please pray for Jody, my friend in California - she just posted that a neighbor's pit bull got her - her hand and arm are torn up and she's still in the ER.

My friend was outside today, not clear if she was just getting home from work or what ever. Her story: (Neighbor's pit bull attacked.) Two broken fingers and 150+ stitches. Tetnis shot, antibiotics, and now animal control will get involved - or i have to go out of pocket for a few grand in rabies series. I couldn't get him to let go. Once he broke the bones, i had to defend myself. I tried the nose, eyes, behind the jaw, simply could not get him to release, and with the bones broken, amputation was quickly approaching. At that point, I elected to put him down. I really really really hated to have to do that, and it is going to bother me forever 5hrs later, ec and er, finally released. Need to talk to the neighbor before cop and animal control show up. Joy.

Jody is armed everywhere she goes. She showed amazing restraint, as she is a dog lover, it was a neighbor's dog that she knew well. It nutted up on her without warning.


But pit bulls are not dangerous..... HDSCWB?

I am sorry for your friend .. Putting the dog down seems like the right thing but i bet it still hurt

It makes me wonder why pits are so unpredictable, this wasn't a dog she didn't know. It's sad that she had to put it down but it didn't give her a choice. She is fortunate she was carrying.

I am praying for Jody.
I was attacked on Jun 14 and hospitalized.......... the dogs were ruined by the people who own them. My avatar is my best friend who I can hear snoring while I type. My attack was brutal I am a 200 X triathlete I wished I had a gun. There were three of them and I was trying to minimize damage and survive. Both me and my dog were hospitalized.
