[__ Prayer __] Please pray for my dog!

Hey.

So, star has not been eating, she's lethargic, having seizures because she won't take her medicine.
We went to the Vet today and found out that she is severely anemic.
Her heart is pumping over time to get oxygen to her brain. But the blood cells are "baby" blood cells, not full regular ones, She was given 2 more medicines. She won't take them so I'm going to have to resort to putting the medicine (pills) in the back of her throat and rub her throat down so she swallows. Then we have another very small pill and a liquid medication. We are going back to the Vet on Wednesday. If she's not doing better, we will have to put her to sleep. I am so sad :sad :sad
Is it pony or poney.

I will pray for your dog. I, too, have a dog that I love very dearly (she is in my avatar, at the left).

Cheyenne was nigh unto death.I know this hurt.

Good news everyone!
Star is seeming more and more like her old self. She's eating, she's peppy, her countenance is just brighter!
God is blessing her through your prayers and I am VERY greatful!
I will let you all now how the Vet appointment on Thursday goes!

These past three days Star has had diarheea. So my Vet called me back this morning and told me to feed her rice, broth, and chicken. I cooked 1 Cup rice in 2 cups broth. Then I added chicken and she gobbled it up! Yesterday I bought two large chicken breast, cut it up, and boiled it for 10 minutes. Now, when I mix her chicken and rice, I cut the chicken in small pieces. Hopefully it will harden her stools. She's sleeping a lot, drinking a lot, and looking better. I believe she will be healed. :)

Your latest report is good news, Angel. I've been following your journey, praying for Star...and you. :pray

Star is doing so well! She's taking her meds, getting enough sleep, and is begging for food again! (THAT'S how I know she's feeling better!) Star initially was rejecting all food, but yesterday I gave her one of her treats she used to love and this time she ate it!!! I dont think I will be able to get her back on dog food. Because of getting sick she is SO spoiled food wise now. She didn't Diahreea today either! Thank you Jesus!!! I believe she's going to be fine. :) Which makes us super happy! Her next Vet appointment is Friday. I will update then!

This is a GOOD thing. If you do some research into what they make commercial store bought pet food out of you would never give it to her again! After taking the advice of a holistic vet, my cat now gets the same chicken, beef, fish, etc that I eat, except he gets it raw just like nature intended. (And because cooking the meat kills the taurine, which cats in particular need and can't get anywhere else.) The best thing you can do for her health wise it to learn about proper natural diets for dogs and make her food yourself, like you've been doing for her now. When they aren't starving, animals are smart on knowing what to eat and what to avoid. Not wanting to eat commercial pet food isn't a sign she's spoiled. It's a sign she is making a healthy decision for herself.

That's very interesting Obadiah ! Thanks for giving me the heads up!

lol. my wolf hybrid will love raw meat then. salmon she loves, raw or cooked

We went to the Vet today and Star got her blood tested. Her red blood cells are normal and her white blood count has gone up too!!!
Just as I figured, the little pups is doing great!

There is one thing I feel sad for Star for... I can't feed her as much as I was, now that she's better. The Doc said a fourth a can of food for breakfast, and another fourth for ...dinner? No lunch? Preposterous!

(I will still sneak in chicken and rice and mix it with her canned food. :) Vet said I could!!!)

Thank you, friends, for your support. And thank God for his mercy on my little baby.
We will be going to the Vet in 2 weeks. We have to slowly wean Star off her meds.

(big hugs to ALL)

Good news everybody!!!
We took Star to the Vet today and she is 100% better!
All we have to do is wean her off her medicines and she will be fine! :)
(She will have to take a seizure med the rest of her life, but that's ok :) )
Thank you for your prayers. I owe ya.

Praying for an ill pet? It is a command from God we should take care of them. Adam and Eve were commanded to take care of them, so should we, too.

Next time take her to Camp Nou...So she could enjoy soccer.
Buy her some candy made in Gaza, and quench her taste with Chinese waterfalls.
