Hi deep, good to see you here. It's a nice looking building! (How do you say it? 'Kyrkko on kaunis'?)

Acts 7.48 actually says that God does not dwell in buildings made with hands.

What we all need is for His Son the Lord Jesus to dwell in our hearts by faith (Ephesians 3.17); He died at the Cross and receives all sinners who come to Him in faith and repentance.

Hi farouk! Yup, it's very nice looking indeed. Like I said myself, my church is everywhere I go. ;) Today I'm gonna burn some candles again, I'm into christianity now and then.

deep:

Hi there again! Rather than 'now and then', the Bible, quoting the Lord Jesus actually says we need to be born again (John chapter 3, for more). God bless His Word to you.

Especially around here. Lots of Norwegian and German influence.

This is the church I attend

The architecture isn't very church-y. But it's orange! :D

WIP:

Lots of Norwegian, Finnish and Icelandic influence north of the border in Manitoba, too, I think; those countries are also heavily Lutheran.

(Of course, God deals with individuals, first and foremost. 'Ye must be born again'.)

One of the things I enjoy is riding motorcycle. Another is photography. Some people like to go around and take pictures of Lighthouses. I like churches. Small ones with steeples. And there is one more thing. I call it "picasso lighting" and it comes at that perfect time of day, either just about sunrise or just after sunset. When the lighting is right there is a warmth that is captured. But the "trick" that I like to do comes from waiting for the "golden moment" when the shadows align perfectly with the edges of the exterior walls.

Like this picture. Very good job that.

So are there other bikers at your local church?

Blessings.

No, and sadly I'm not a "biker" at the moment. Saving pennies for new tires. But there are many Christians on the road who endeavor follow their front tire as I do.

Okay, I did NOT take this picture. I had to eventually use google to find this pic, and eventually did find it listed on the Southern Baptist association site. This is my current church. I have some pictures of my old church in some files somewhere I'm pretty sure, but I couldn't find them.

God bless the 'living stones' that make up your local church in the eyes of the Lord.

Blessings.

I'd like to share a picture of the Bible study I attend, too, since it could almost be considered an actual church the way things are done there. Plenty of pictures on it's page on facebook, but I can't find any pictures of just the building, and my friends might not appreciate me posting pictures with them in it here.

Ooh, find a couple nice pictures of inside...although, come to think of it I should probably ask permission before posting those....IDK....

In the end, what's precious is a sense of a spiritual home, isn't it? rather than the bricks and mortar of a building, which, after all, is just for convenience.

I love the hymn that goes like this:

'Jesu, where'er Thy people meet,
There they behold the mercy seat,
To them that seek Thee Thou art found,
And every place is hallowed ground.'

Blessings.
