Power to become.

Let me ask you a question.
What are you becoming?

Everyone, who is breathing, is in the process of becoming.
Everyone, is in the process of spiritually evolving towards a final end result.
None of us will live long enough on the earth to complete the process, but many will certainly reach an advanced stage of existence and performance within this "becoming" process.

The backslid, the unsaved, the unbeliever, the Christ rejectors, are in the process of becoming more like the devil as he is their father. (John 8:44)
This is what their becoming process leads them towards every second.
To be more and more like the devil is their "becoming"..

The Christian, that is the born again believer, is in the process of becoming more like the devil.....also.......Unless, they are living in complete surrender and obedience,... submitting themselves min by min, day by day, year by year, to God and his will, and if they continue to do this, they are changed from glory to glory (2nd Corin 3:18) towards the fullness of the stature of Christ.
If they do not submit to the will of God, constantly & consistently, then they eventually backslide towards becoming more like the devil.
You can never backslide towards becoming more holy or more like God.
You can only backslide towards the fallen nature which is the devil's nature.

Now, how does God help us to become more like him?

"for as many as received him (Jesus) he gives them power to become.".(John 1:12)
See that?
That's "Christ in you the hope of Glory".(Colossians 1:27)
Thats the power, thats the anointing, thats the means to execute for God on the Earth all he has for you to do.
And this power, which IS, "Christ in us the hope of Glory", has put us "in Christ", and is on tap, is available, and is designed to recreate us into his image and empower us to do his "mighty works". (John 14:12).
Thats you.

The very power of the resurrected Christ, is literally inside your body right now if you are born again.
The same Jesus who walked on water, raised the dead, healed the sick, and rose from the dead, is living inside you right now.
His Spirit is inside you, it indwells you, it lives within as you have received the very Spirit of Christ., and he indwells you. (Romans 8:9)
And this power, the power of Christ, IF leaned on, relied on, trusted, and released by Faith, can literally reinvent your entire life and do mighty works..(John 14:12)
You are not doing them, but Christ in you who is the same as he was from the beginning, is able to do the very same works through you as he did himself, and through Paul...

Paul said to be a follower of him as he followed Christ. (1st Corin 11:1)
This literally means to "do the same".. "be the same"..."act the same"..."believe the same"..."become the same".
And what did Paul do?......He did what Jesus did and what Jesus told him to do.
And Jesus did what he saw the Father do...(John 5:19)
Thats what you are to do....
And how are you to do it?
You are not to try to do it in your own power or energy or will or effort as this is carnal effort.
You are to do "all things Through Christ who strengthens you". (Philippians 4:13)

And what authority do you have to become more like Jesus and to do his works?.
You are now a Son of God.
That is your position in the family of God..
You are bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh...(Ephesians 5:30)
You are indwelled with the Spirit of Christ.
That is your Power on tap to do for God what he wills.
And how do you access the unlimited power of the Spirit of Christ.?
By Faith..
And, its by deeply understanding and accepting the revelation of who you are and what you are "in Christ" that your Faith becomes empowered and energized and unleashed to access God's power (riches in Glory) to change circumstance. .
Saint, all a miracle is, is the power of God to change a circumstance from wrong to right, from lack to increase, from lost to saved, from darkness to light.
God is the Power, Christ is the Spirit, and you are just the faithful "in Christ" transmission device.

And because You are "in Christ", and he is in you., then the power available for creating the miracle, this divine power to change a wrong circumstance into a right circumstance, is available from God, to Christ, to Paul, to You, by the prayer of Faith.
Remember your bible told you that,... "the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much". (James 5:16).???
Availeth, means "to be strong" or "strength", and here it is speaking of the spiritual authority of a believer's prayer of faith, to act on God's behalf, and thereby access God's divine power that will change a circumstance, as need be..

Believer, you are that righteous one, as the righteousness of Christ has become yours as the indwelling Christ is now becoming you.......(Galatians 2:20)

I think many have completed the process....(unless I didn't understand what you are trying to say here)

Kidron, are you convinced you have nothing more to learn than you have learned to this point? Have you ever changed your view of something during the course of your faith walk? Do you believe it's possible that He will Lead you to a different understanding than you have today regarding any doctrine or interpretation of scripture?

Personally, I can admit that I once argued vehemently for beliefs that I've now reconsidered, and I can't rule out that He will continue to shape me.

Just an observation.

"Becoming" and "Evolving" are catch phrases often found withing the New Age (NA) movement. As soon as I read your post it, it reminded me of many New Age doctrines that I have read in the past....with just enough Christ in it.....

I'm not an expert. But I have done some NA study. You share the same sentiments for "becoming and evolving" as some famous New Age leaders.

Neale Donald Walsch from his book Conversations with God,

For you are all, all, in the process of becoming. You are all, all, moving though the experience of evolution. (pg. 51)

So, your purpose as a soul is to experience yourself as All Of It. We are evolving. We are...becoming. (pg. 73)

Enjoy the experience of becoming. (pg. 91)

Barbara Marx Hubbard states in her book, The Revelation

You were born to be me. You were born to be
partners with God. (p. 148)

NA's often confuse scriptures which state we are to be one with Christ and that Christ dwells in us, with the concept of being Christ. They believe that when we will recognize we are not separated from God then we become Christs and will achieve all the power, rank and authority he has.

I guess you can understand then why your statement "Christ is becoming you..." feels like NA doctrine...to me at least.

Blessings,
Dee

A Christian must always be open to the leading of the HS....
And, the thread i posted here, is really just bible 101 stuff that any Christian should know like they know the back of their hand a week afte they are born again.
However if they are in a theological system that is backwards, self righteous, and without much light, then obviously 20 or 30 years into their Faith, they are still going to be found taking baby steps in the Kingdom.
It usually comes down to wrong application of study materials, to be honest.
Most Christians are not messed up by the bible, they are messed up by reading "theological handbooks" or "studies" written by idiots who dont know the New Testament at all.
You'll know you are in trouble, theologically speaking, when you have to run to a "study" or some teacher's book to try to prove your theology..
Its unfortunate that many in the body of Christ, have been so misled by really bad teaching and no idea who they are "in Christ",.... but on the other hand, this allows someone like me to be of good service to the body.

Personally, I can admit that I once argued vehemently for beliefs that I've now reconsidered, and I can't rule out that He will continue to shape me.

Hopefully when you read what ive shared here, you'll be able to consider it at face value.
See, one of the tricks of the devil is for him to falsely label something using what a person thinks they are reading, which is based on preconceived ideas.
For example.
If i say the words, "prosperity", "money", "blessings", and "Jesus" in the same sentence, the devil will rewrite it for some as....."get rich scheme using the scriptures".. as that is the theology POV he has trained them positionally to operate within .
Thats how he does it.
He causes people to see something that isnt there based on their theological pre-conditioning.
These Christian types, will argue endlessly that water baptism saves you, or that faith and works saves you, or that Blessings from God, if you mention FINANCES in the teaching, = must be heresy.

One thing you can seek and never find in my Threads is the idea that God wants any Christian to have wealth that is >not< related to need or ministry.
You will always find that my theology, which is sound bible doctrine, is strictly related to the work of God using a believer.
Never anything but that...
This goes without even saying it., but i typically say it.
And of course God wants his children to be ABLE to give.
And if you have nothing to give, then how can you give?
See, a person can rant about "giving time and compassion" all they like, but the fact is, the POOR dont need your time, they need to get OUT OF POVERTY,...THEY NEED TO EAT... They need clothes for their kids....and this is where we come in, ...this is where ministry comes in...this is where the blessings of God through us, meets the road with the rubber.
I mean really, there are only a few ministries if you think about it.
Reaching the lost with the gospel.....dealing with the sick....dealing with the poor, and discipling the converts.
And the truth is, the 1st three in the list are obvious, however... the last one, if its not done right, messes up the first three.
Think about that.
Think about this.
If I come here and teach people how to receive from God (for the purpose of ministry)= based on their birth- right as Sons of God to have access to all that God has, all that God is, and All that God can do...and all for the benefit of the hurting, the lost, the sick, the poor, and the rest.....and then others come right behind me and deny God his right to help this world out of a mess using his redeemed...then who is in Gods face denying him?
Is is me?
Is it?
You better think about that one..

If you go to Africa or inner city ghettos in Chicago, then you find that the poor appreciate your time and your compassion, however, when they sit there with no food, no job, no income, no lights, and have 5 kids, ....can they eat your theology that says...."well, you will grow stronger in the Lord if you sit there and suffer, as its all for CHRIST"...."So be like Joni E, or Richard Wurmbrand, and learn how to suffer so that you can say that you are spiritual".
So, this is nonsense......and its not scriptural.
Paul said to be content with clothes and food..........so, you want to try that?
Go ahead and give up your home, and your car, and your FAMILY, and your TV, and your PC, and your Laptop, and your Cable, and your Job, and your MONEY, and pretend that you understand that scripture by =LIVING IT THEN.<
Going to give it all up for Christ are you?
SO< GET REAL !!
We are , as Joint heirs of Christ, to be the channels of Deliverance from God into the lives of the lost, the hurting and the helpless and the needy.
Bottom line.
So, if we have a ridiculous poverty gospel theology that plugs up God's channel of gracious giving, then what are we then?
We are BLOCKING God, instead of not doing his will.
Be careful that you...reader.... dont do that, as it does not create a very good relationship between you and your heavenly Father.

be blessed,

K
