I posted about this already, BUT...
...I was all doom and gloom, and God did something incredible. I was sentenced to the maximum (5 years probation) for a first offense misdemeanor. Long story; I went through a lot of psychiatric treatment and complained about it. To an ex shrink. Awesome. Lesson learned
So, I'm 1 year in. I'm law abiding, going to Liberty Online, doing well, getting along well with my parents (I live with them), and today my probation officer said I might be discharged from probation as early as January or February. Yes!!!!!!
Of course, a judge has to sign off on it. That's kind of a hurdle. I do have a good attorney, thanks to my parents. The way I see it, even if my probation isn't terminated this early in the game, I should be able to get off considerably earlier than the full 5 years. Yes!
God has been working in my life so I can be the kind of person probation officers consider terminating probation early for. Law abiding, working to build a life. God has worked in my parents' heart and in our lives and relationships. I'm hoping to help my parents become Christian. It was God who moved on my dad's heart to get me a good attorney. Without one, I'd be cooling my jets in the lovely state mental hospital!
So, no matter what the judge decides to do...Praise God for His goodness!
