[__ Prayer __] Prayer Request for a Friend

I am asking members to remember a friend of mine. We have not seen each other recently... When I returned home from work yesterday, the phone rang and she was on the line. I was excited to hear her voice. We started to chat...and then she said. I want to let you know that I have breast cancer. I just felt awful. I told her not to worry, she said she is still going about her housework, still enjoying the things she enjoys. She is retired. I know it is a blow but I am asking members to remember her. She is not a Christian and I hope and pray that this would a time for her to seek Jesus and place her faith in Him.

What she said cause me reflect on my life. So often we worry about mundane things, whether we have enough food, money for bills, worry because we might going through a divorce. I realise then that timies like this we begin to see what is really important.

My prayers are with your friend, Abide. Facing the news of cancer is not easy at all, regardless of how early it is detected. I pray that her heart is softened so she will know the abundant love that our Lord has for her, as well as for healing and peace of mind.

You are also in my prayers, Abide, and I thank you for bringing your friend's situation to us for prayer.

Dear Sister Abide, I firmly believe she knows of your affiliation with God due to your testimony. Your life is not without light that others can see, and she sought you when she needed a friend she could trust. You are the blessing she needs, the help in her sorrow, and the shoulder she can depend on; you are in Christ and she knows it. I also add my prayers to yours and pray this turns her to God in Jesus' name.

I will pray for your friend to know Christ as Lord and Savior. God is amazing the way he uses these crises to draw people to him. As for the cancer, praying for successful surgery/chemo/radiation or whatever has to be done. Also praying for you, that you will be there to comfort, and to share God's love with your friend.
