[__ Prayer __] Prayer request for my little family

I am currently out of work and have no prospects and with 50 applications out in 4 weeks, the job hunt is not going well.

We just got our re-certification notice to re-sign our lease for next year and the rent if going up $27. It's $27 too much and what we're not able to afford.

My wife is giving birth in November so she'll be going out of work and her disability will not be enough to cover our bills and this apartment while she is on maternity leave, plus the added cost of a newborn on top of it all.

We need prayers that we'll still have a place to live and that I'll be able to find a job.

Definitely will be praying. However, have you looked into delivering for any local papers? If you are not opposed to getting up early you can make some extra cash.

I thought of that before as I did it when I lived in Upstate, NY.

I don't trust that the car that I have will survive paper delivery though. It's 18 years old and has over 120,000 miles on it.

They don't have walking routes here either, it's all driving routes.

You & your family are in my prayers, Boidae........ this is definitely a touchy employment market.

As you're papering your community/area with your resumes, also stop by your local library ........ they would either have the reference materials or would know who you can contact for assistance with utility bills, perhaps rent assistance, etc .... once your wife leaves work to have the baby & then recover, knowing where help is located will be a very good thing

even if the work is part-time...take the job. Perspective employers are more impressed with someone currently working, even if it's part time in a non-related field. It shows determination to stand on one's feet as well as the resolve to work hard in order to do more than just merely survive.

In all your endeavors, you're in my prayers :pray

Proverbs 16:9
The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

Our prayers are with you. God has a plan, we need the patience to see what it is.
