Thanks everyone for your prayers! The Lord has blessed us. Ari's heart has had no changes so far, even though she has grown quite a bit. I am praying that God will simply heal her if it is His will for her life. I was actually waiting today for the doctor to say that her valve was in perfect working order, but it was not God's will. I know she is in His hands. He was so good about relieving our stress, and she actually had a 'fun' time at the hospital today.
Thank you all again. It was good news, very good news, for us, because things aren't worse. I felt so blessed today as the doctor was able to look at pictures of her heart and know exactly what was going on. So neat, and such a miracle to see it beating on the screen. Amazing.
Jeff, she has Aortic Stenosis: bicuspid valve. She, or we, should have a tricuspid valve at the aortic valve which opens to allow the blood flow from the left ventricle and exit the heart. For now, she has an obstruction (her valve shape prevents a good flow) that causes the blood to pool, which needs to be watched (Shaun's actually burst), but then later it will turn into a leakage (The bicuspid closure may pull apart so that it doesn't connect at all), which may cause her to need a valve replacement. Thanks for asking.
Again, I can't thank you all enough for your prayers. The Lord bless you.
