[__ Prayer __] Prayers for my mom again

My mom went to the Cardiologist today and they are sending her for extensive testing Tuesday. She's been having the "squeezing" again in her chest and quite a few other signs that things aren't going well. I know she's having an MRI with the dye injected into her veins and she's also having something called an Exercise Cardiac Profusion Scan. This is when they inject radio-pharmaceutical into her veins and a camera can see different things that her heart is doing. Her appt is at 10:30, but they said that it will be after 4:30 before she can leave.

The doctor said that they may have to do a stent despite how risky it would be because of the area (left main artery). I'm so worried. Please include her in your prayers. Her name is Shirley.

Thank you everyone.

It's comforting knowing that my parents are saved, but that doesn't make it any easier when something happens to them. I can't imagine life without them. My mom is my best friend. But she's also a strong person and she amazed everyone with how great she bounced back after her double bypass. It just makes me mad that the one didn't take.

I'm trying to have positive thoughts.

My mom got her test results. Even though the one bypass failed, the other one has taken on all of the work and things look good. They still don't know why she's having pressure in her chest or why she's losing weight (she's lost 30lbs in less than 3 months WITHOUT dieting or exercising), but at least her heart is ok. Hopefully they can get to the root of the weight loss and chest pain/pressure.

:-D From all of us... you're welcome. Happy to hear bypass is working well. Don't know about the pressure in the chest, but the weight loss could be overactive thyroid? Did they rule that out Nikki?

They've checked her thyroid and it was fine.

My mom was always boney. She never got to 100lbs until she hit her 40's. She's 5'6", so she was always underweight, but then again, so is the rest of our family.

When she hit 50, she suddenly started gaining quickly. I'm thinking maybe the weight gain had something to do with menopause??? Now that she's past menopause and her heart is working (can't heart problems cause weight gain/loss?), she's going back to the weight she once was.

Just all speculation. It's still not healthy to loose so much weight in such a short amount of time though. Hopefully they can figure out what's going on.
