Growth Preserving Life

"For my thoughts are not your thought, nor are you ways My ways," says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher that the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts that your thoughts. Isaiah 55: 8-9

The story of Joseph is an outstanding example of how God works to fulfill His plan. Joseph was hated by his brothers, sold as a slave, and put in prison for doing what was right. Through his difficult circumstances, God placed Joseph into a position where he could be used mightily to further God' plans.

I am sure there were many times along the way the Joseph didn't understand God's plan. When he was sold by his brothers and eventually put in prison for a crime he didn't commit he probably questioned what the Lord had for him and his visions to see his brothers bow down to him.

Sometimes within God's perfect plan, we face trials and struggles that we need to deal with as in Joseph's case. They are never intended fro evil, but to preserver spiritual life. God's plan if for ever person to someday leave the land of bondage (Egypt) and enter the promised land. (Heaven) View attachment 4664

I often wonder when we get to heaven and ask the angels for a look back over our own lives asking the "what if" question...why did GOD send me this wife ? What would have happen if I chose differently here ? Could history have turned out differently if I chose a different path in my life? Questions like that....Joseph must have wondered often why, lying in prison....Shalom

Our lives are full of "why" and "what if" as we journey on this Earth. God has a plan and places a path before us. Many times it's through the why's and what ifs that we question God as we lack understanding, but through patience and endurance, trials and tribulations we will will always find God answering our why's and what ifs as we seek His will for us.

Sometimes I wonder... I took guitar lessons at 13 but quit (I don't remember why)
Also, before I used drugs, I could *really* sing. Now I can't.
What would have happened if I had not answered yes to a question to someone who helped make my life miserable and ruined? The question: "Do you smoke weed?"
What if I stayed at my new job? I wanted to be a Nurse. I could have been through college and gotten my Doctorate by now.
What if I took better care of my body? I was pretty skinny up until my late twenties. I went through something very difficult, and I would get up at 2 in the morning and stay up the rest of the day, drinking lots of coffee and lots of milk. Then I started gaining weight. It is very hard to lose weight and very easy to gain it! You really have to stop and ask yourself... Do I really need this? I don't think treats are wrong sometimes, but drinking gallons of milk to cope is.

What if the decisions I've made in life have changed the way God intended me to live before hand? Has my disobedience changed God's plan for me?

I would have to say our disobedience to God doesn't change His plan for us, but only clouds us from seeing His plan and following through. Our past is just that, the past. We need to focus on the best of who we can be today as tomorrow is never promised. Every morning when you wake seek Gods face for the day and walk in the ways of the Lord in all you do and speak.

Ok. I am trying to seek God's kingdom. :)
