I was sittin, drinkin, thinkin, and i had an overwhelming thought of how wrong many, including myself, have been as followers of Christ.
I was blind but my eyes are now opened about how much Jesus, and also as a follower of Jesus, Paul, expressed how important it is to not let pride take over the truth.
"let your light shine before men (just be yourself and dont shove words down there throat), so man may see your good works and glorify God".
Works is not a boast, nor does it save, but willingly wanting to live righteous and do good works because you have found peace, love and Gods grace in Jesus who is our role model and sent as an example to follow, not because its a commandment and you have to, but because you want to, people will see you shine and your joy, even in the hardest times. You will shine. You dont have to be proud or say a word.
Its truth( or just my deluded mind). People are amazed when they see someone in a tough situation have a heart of Christ and glorify God, they want to know who gives you that power and strength.
Boasting about Jesus does nothing. Joseph,Daniel and other prophets were just individuals who kept there faith personal within but let there light shine in a non boastful way. They just believed God, they didnt stand in front of Christ and speak a thousand words in pride.
Why are christians so proud. Why boast, why even debate scripture. Dont be like the hypocrites.
