Proof: Snakes had legs before the curse.

A more common mutation among snakes is the growth of a second head, which occurs in a similar way to the formation of Siamese twins in humans.

Such animals are often caught and preserved as lucky tokens but have very little chance of surviving in the wild anyway, especially as the heads have a tendency to attack each other.

Yeah, that's real proof right there...NOT!

I guess they used to have legs AND a couple heads according to your logic here. :lol

I've seen where snakes have two heads and will fight over food, even attempting to kill the other head in order to be in control.

I always sort of looked at that as a metaphor for why God has the the wife be in submission to the husband. It's sort of hard for a unit to work effectively together if there is more than one head, especially if one is trying to kill the other one. :lol

If one studies the biology of snakes, one learns that snakes did indeed once have legs. I've seen Christians use this as proof that the Genesis story is true and I've seen Evolutionists use this as proof of evolution. I lean towards the former myself. ;)

Two heads is nothing new. Happens all the time. What is new, is growing something that you are not suppose to have.

If you grew another head, it will be odd (but not so lonely) but its in your genetic DNA. But if you grew wings and took off, that would make headlines. Two heads will only land you in the circus :lol Wings will raise questions.
Snakes do not have legs.

I think it's quite possible that the serpent was actually a winged dragon rather than a mere snake, as most believe. (That would explain where the flying serpent legend originated).

At any rate, this much is certain: if the serpent was already crawling in the dust, the curse upon him would be meaningless. If however, he originally had soared majestically through the skies, crawling would be quite a punishment indeed.
