Psa 119:65 TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
Psa 119:66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

Without going to Matthew 7 and committing rape on God's Word by forcing verse one out of it's, not just biblical context but also from it's, local context and it begs an answer to both natural and spiritual men and women.

When I was saved the same thing happened in my life that every saved man, woman or/and child experienced... the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God. In verse 66 of Psalm 119 we find the Psalmist praying for God, the Father to teach him Good Judgement, Good Discernment... both mean the same thing.

Today, with Jesus dispatching the Helper, the Holy Spirit, it is not required for a saint to ask God to receive the Holy Spirit. (John 14:15-17) No Jesus sends Him to those that seek God on the terms He demands. We will not be saved with a haughty, proud spirit for such a man will not submit to the leading authority of any master, let alone The Master that cannot beheld with the natural eye. And if one is unable to fully submit to our Holy Father (Job 22:21 & Heb. 12:9) they cannot possibly be saved.

But, the faith that saves is a gift from God. (Eph. 2:8) So some were created to go to Hell and a few to go to Heaven? God forbid! No, every word in the scriptures are protected by the Omnipotent Hand of God (Psalm 12:6-7 & Duet. 4:1&2) and such a Guardian will not be overcome. And in Matt. 22:14 we see that all, every man, woman and child are called and in 2Pet. 3:9 we find all of them are called to repent and to be saved but just as the parable of the wide gate and the narrow gate illustrates, most will refuse.

But what is the point I want to make here? Have you ever made a point, when witnessing, in person or on the World Wide Web, only to be attacked? And then when you go to their Proof Text, you discover the Word of God is being twisted, perverted, raped?

With Degree in Divinity being so easy to come by and so many, formerly, well founded Institutions of Learning, allowing Left Leaning Teachers to instruct, I fear there will not soon be any limit to Lettered False Teachers and these, tickling the ears of the Lost, I'm certain, there will be no limit to the number of people that will testify, "LORD, LORD, in your name we..." but Jesus will tell every one of them to vacate His presence because He never knew them!

Remember, winning an argument is never the point of any discussion about the scriptures and if such a conversation reaches an impasse, it is not ungodly to let the conversation be and to pray over that person. Remember, Matthew 7 teaches us to keep the logs out of our eyes and not to allow others to insert new logs as fast as we can rid ourselves of the old.

May God bless the study of His Word... AMEN!

These scriptures came to mind after reading your post. Are we called to argue and debate Gods word, no, as we are called to take His world out into a sinful world that needs Gods salvation. One plants, another waters and God brings in the harvest for it is not we who save others, but the Holy Spirit working in us and through us that speaks truth in love to others and we just pray those words of God fall on good ground.

2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Rom 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Good words of wisdom. If we will, just, be faithful to seek God's truth for each one of us great wisdom is, then, bestowed at the hand of God.

Now, if we just had the power of our first school teachers.

I can assure you from personal experience that a legitimate degree is in no way "easy to come by."
But, some of the oldest and, once but no longer, best institutions have become purveyors of meadow muffins.

JP,
I never said legitimate! And most of your Meadow Muffins were never hot enough to rise, they're not even cookies.

People love to have their ears tickled as it makes them feel good, but those emotions can be so deceiving as that Jezebel spirit stands behind the pulpit, but Jesus is not even recognized and for the most part kicked to the curb. Rev 2:20

AMEN! And the foolish people are not prepared. (Hosea 10:12; Matthew 24:42,43; Matthew 25:1-13; Mark 13:33-37; Luke 12:35-38; Luke 21:36; Romans 13:11; 1 Corinthians 16:13; Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:6; Titus 3:1; 1Peter 4:7; 1 Peter 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 3:3 and Revelation 3:20.)

They do not love truth.
