Purpose of Prayer...

Just curious what most believe about prayer and what is the main purpose of prayer?

Never heard it put like that...our dependence on him, shows how much greater his ways are than ours..I like that! I too, believe that prayer is more of a relationship with our father.

my professor told me once that praying is like bossing God around. Praying is always done in a direct speech and in a form of an order: give us, help us etc.
