Purpose

General purpose

To know God.
The only way I can think of doing that is by talking to Him, listening to Him, thinking about Him and reading about Him.

To love God.
'If you love me keep my commandments.'
"Love Gid with all of your heart, all of my mind and and all of your strength." God has to come first.

To serve God
This always baffles me. I do not know what my individual purpose is. I've prayed about it, I still don't know. So I pray for The Holy Spirit to guide me and try to obey Him.
 
Purpose is what God has already planned from the beginning of creation within all of us to be a faithful and obedient servant to Him as He set us over His creation to take care of it. Purpose is also found in Matthew 25:31-40 in loving and caring for others. Purpose is to take His word out into the world as one who is anointed by God to preach the good news of the Gospel of grace. There are so many purposes as even in the direction of what kind of a career we desire. The list goes on and on.

These things sound good and things that Christians ought to do.
Do you believe that in fact giving is like receiving?
Have you had that feeling?
Like a universal law in a way? Like; what goes around comes around... :)

So is there the a duality in this? Everybody should do all the same things. Still we have sometimes very different directions to go..

I think you list the main purpose of all Christians in this world.
To love, learn, seek, meditation, fear and humble ourselves before God!

Purpose: important to divide humans talents and divine purpose. Although I think the can work together in us.
I believe lies in the basic and strong foundations of God in us.
For example study who we really are in Him the gifts that He gave!
Our purpose lies in who we are individually in Him (Jesus)
And then secondly we are given talents that needs to be developed in relation to the spiritual gifts.
A combination of them will be both spiritual and physical and practical progressive. (I believe)
Think it fits with the Bible pretty good..

Some are very spiritual, some are very intelligent.. and so I believe at least some of the answer to our purpose in action comes from building spirit, soul and body in harmony and always progress..

Like our man Christian in the Pilegrims Progress. Always moving forward!
