Das Altfriesische ist die aus dem Germanischen erwachsene, älteste Sprachstufe des Friesischen. Weil die Sprachwissenschaft kein meinen Vorstellungen vollständig entsprechendes Wörterbuch aufwies, versuchte ich schon 1974 ein Verzeichnis der Übersetzungsgleichungen früher friesischer Quellen, 1979 ein Wörterverzeichnis zu den Leges Burgundionum, Saxonum, Thuringorum und Frisionum und 1983 ein altfriesisch-neuhochdeutsches und neuhochdeutsch-altfriesisches Wörterbuch. Mit Hilfe der modernen Elektronik kann ich das Wörterbuch mit etwa 7500 Stichwörtern und Verweisen im Rahmen meiner Internationalen Germanistischen Etymologischen Lexikothek in maschinenlesbarer Form der Allgemeinheit zur Verfügung stellen.? :thud:
