I am trying to finalize this rental home. The management company said I owe $404.00 to Holland International.I don't owe anything to anyone.I am confused what is that all about?Any idea?

What's Holland International?

The TOG

I don't know what Holland International is. Maybe a collection agency? Could an error. Or...(not to scare you)...worse. When I was living in Middle-of-Nowhere, GA, I was using my dad's car. Somebody took out a title loan on it, and we didn't find out until a few months ago...and I've been home for almost 3 years.

Is it a Cruise company? My X went on a cruise with his wife in 2005.Do you think the names got mixed up?I don't know how to reach them.It is some phone number outside the US.

It could be for a cruise, that is one of the results that came up when I did a google search. You could always fight it through one of the credit bureaus, though it may take a while.

Would I need to go through the credit bureau or Holland International?

I would make sure Holland has MrX address
I am calling their guest services tomorrow.I will make sure they have Mr.X address and cell phone number :)

A person can see their credit report for free once a year.Their is an official website to go to.Their are a bunch of websites that are not safe but does anyone know the official real website to go on and get this?My credit is excellent and that makes me mad that one mistake is missing things up.

This link will give you all the contact info you need for your credit reports.

It looks like it is not free.It is $20.00.

Hmm...which bureau is charging that?

Equifax: 800-685-1111 (general) or 800-525-6285 (fraud); P.O. Box 740241, Atlanta, GA 30374; www.equifax.com
  • Experian: 888-397-3742 (general and fraud); PO Box 2002, Allen, TX 75013, www.experian.com.
  • TransUnion: 800-888-4213 (general) or 800-680-7289 (fraud); P.O. Box 2000, Chester, PA 19022; www.transunion.com.

I've always used experian.
So what I see is that it cost $1.00 to get rating and report.
Then there's a 7 day free trial for a monthly membership, which you can cancel within 7 days and not be charged anything.
Check your state government site. Colorado has a law that once a year it is free I don't remember though if it's a different site but it's still experian?

Thanks Deborah I did get through. My credit was excellent like I thought but their was no sign of that $404.00 :shrug

If it shows up on your credit then you can fight it through any of the three bureaus. By the way, you can get a credit rating update for free once a month through Credit Karma. I have been using them for years to monitor my credit, and has helped immensely to gauge how well I am doing in different areas.

Well yeah, you don't have to deal with that. But I wonder, did the landlord run the wrong info. on you or were they not even looking at the credit report for you. They may have had the wrong one in front of them.
But now you can prove it's not your debt. :)

Remember the days when a handshake meant something? So sad.

This sounds a little quirky. Does he still have a credit card that the two of you held jointly when you were married?
