questioning the supernatural

I have been a believer for most of my life. I never questioned the supernatural spiritual life until this past year. I spent time with unbelievers and there unbelief rubbed off on me. I wish for you to share your experiences with the spiritual world. Is it real or just a fairytale?

2 corinth 6: 14 - Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

It so much easier to drag people down then it is to lift them up. I'm not saying ignore them all together, butyou should limit a contact where you are more of an influence on them, then they are on you.

Just dare your friends to spend a night in a known poltergeist infested place (demonic). I guarantee you they will become believers because no atheist ever remained one after such a night. Then.... show them how Christian you are and buy them each a pair of new jeans after their ordeal. They can therefore appreciate what Jesus was up against, and the powers of darkness.

If you don't believe in the supernatural you don't believe in Lord Jesus Christ.

thats my whole problem in a nutshell.....that is why this is greiving me so much....I always believed in Jesus as my savior....my heart is breaking over this and im still not feeling like I am getting an answer from God on this :sad

His answer came in post #2, if you continue to fellowship with unbelievers, more than unbelief is likely to be transfered, I hope and pray you will turn away from godless relationships until you have a supernatural born again experience, because whether you experience an angelic visitation such as myself, nothing can compare to experiencing the love of God and His forgivness and being born again, nothing could ever convince me that God is not who the bible says He is.......EVER!

I think you need examples that provide the assurance you are looking for. I've already posted this on the forum elsewhere today, but it is truly a praise from God.

I'm in a Masters program (applied psychology) and as I work for a handful of non-profit substance abuse centers, and am senior counselor at one of them, I don't have a lot of income, and I'd prefer to keep my savings for my "golden years," so I applied for and got an educational grant. After all the bills are paid to the school, I get the balance in a refund. I was expecting $400 this semester. Tuesday, I got $1100 instead. Thursday, as I was filling up my car, I noticed a split in the right rear tire sidewall, with the inner liner bulging through the split. Clearly I could not wait, as I'd intended, to replace my tires next month. If not for my "bonus" grant refund -- money God knew I would need even though I didn't -- I could not have afforded to get the tires I had been saving for. Also, because I got them yesterday instead of next month, they were on sale.

Many will say, "Oh, that's just a big coincidence." Hardly. That is God's provision. When we are faithful, so is He. We often forget that it is the little miracles that happen in our lives every day that prove God's love for us and His blessing upon us. Those blessings don't have to be big, booming, noisy events. A quiet little event like this -- one no one else but me would have known about had I not shared it -- is the normal way for God to work in our lives.

so coinsidences of good things in your favor you attribute them to God, which is good! but when you hear coinsidences of astronomical porportions on the side of evil..................they just remain coincidences....lol

I am baffled by your strange conclusion. What the heck are you talking about? I have made no comment that I am aware of regarding "coincidences on the side of evil" or anything that could remotely be construed as such.

Please, vocalyocal you make some very good posts but when you are being "snarky" you make assuming statements. If you want to know what someone thinks please just ask.
In the interest of peace and NOT getting threads shut down, please.
Not that I haven't guilty myself at times but I'm trying to be good.
Thank you, :)

the topic is questioning the supernatural..........I didn't realize there would be such trouble questioning the supernatural

Er on the side of caution.....is what has happened I think and there is good reason for that. We have had some pretty weird threads start in the last few months.

I don't know of anyone here who denies the workings of the deceiver, destroyer, accuser.

the Holy part of the spiritual is the good/love i.e. it consists exactly in the show of good/loving treatment towards the other people, not just in supernatural phenomena and activity, however the infidel/non-occult people are not unclean of themselves, but normally they are spiritually harmless, for they are just ordinary users, but because of the intense spiritual/religious iniquity latterly some of them may have been/looked like affected by and transmitters of evil spirits, however they are not perpetrators of spiritual/religious iniquity except in the cases that some of them interfere systematically in the work of God, but such people are not just ordinary users, and because the following of other god/lord/word is nohow safe in the faith - from this point of view the infidel/non-occult people also may not be authoritative

Blessings

Do you deserve God to give you an answer? Do you blame God for your lack of faith and belief? No only should you be able to be around your heathen friends and not be affected. You should also be able to effect their lives by the example of yours. You should also know when is time to know if you are casting your pearls before swine and wipe the dust from your feet. Your life is God's, not your own. Don't believe. Know. Have faith only for help in things you cannot control or cannot do on your own. Angels have free will. Some gave their free will over to God and others didn't. Just as the angels, your free will can be given over to God. Although you will no longer have any control or know what is going on, God will. His ways are mysterious for us because they are too hard for us to comprehend. The way He can work in every aspect of your life and everyone you come in contact with. Give your life over and it will improve in ways that you can not bring about on your own. It will improve in his will which should but won't always be your own. It will become your own if you stay on path. It's not whether it's for God or if it's for you. It should be one and the same. Also, God is always there helping you. You just can't see what he is doing if you are not right with him. At the same time Satan will try to make you think that you don't need God and you have done everything on your own and that God is the one that needs you. Belive these tricks and you will always fall backwards. Satan's next trick is you to be to ashamed in your current sinful nature and you have no right to talk to God or ask for help. Jesus will work with you thru it if you know how to ask. Satan will also try to make a deal with you knowing he can't have you. He will claim that he will leave you alone if you don't influence others. This is a deal that he will not keep and will also lead to your demise. For strength and courage I suggest reading Psalms.
