I think you need examples that provide the assurance you are looking for. I've already posted this on the forum elsewhere today, but it is truly a praise from God.
I'm in a Masters program (applied psychology) and as I work for a handful of non-profit substance abuse centers, and am senior counselor at one of them, I don't have a lot of income, and I'd prefer to keep my savings for my "golden years," so I applied for and got an educational grant. After all the bills are paid to the school, I get the balance in a refund. I was expecting $400 this semester. Tuesday, I got $1100 instead. Thursday, as I was filling up my car, I noticed a split in the right rear tire sidewall, with the inner liner bulging through the split. Clearly I could not wait, as I'd intended, to replace my tires next month. If not for my "bonus" grant refund -- money God knew I would need even though I didn't -- I could not have afforded to get the tires I had been saving for. Also, because I got them yesterday instead of next month, they were on sale.
Many will say, "Oh, that's just a big coincidence." Hardly. That is God's provision. When we are faithful, so is He. We often forget that it is the little miracles that happen in our lives every day that prove God's love for us and His blessing upon us. Those blessings don't have to be big, booming, noisy events. A quiet little event like this -- one no one else but me would have known about had I not shared it -- is the normal way for God to work in our lives.
