QUESTIONS ON CHRISTUS VICTOR THEORY

Opinion: The problem is when we believe that torture and suffering where a demand made by God the Father, and He was unable/unwilling to forgive without them. Question: So was God making a demand because He was unable/unwilling to defeat sin, death & satan without sending Jesus to torture, suffering and death?

Opinion: But it's not as though God the Father was bloodthirsty and simply demanding SOMEONE suffer "or else" He will refuse to forgive. Question: Was God the Father bloodthirsty and simply demanding SOMEONE suffer "or else" He will refuse to defeat sin, death & satan?

You may post your replies to the two questions.

Torture and suffering was not a demand of God for the sacrifice for sin. God's plan of Salvation through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus was before the foundation of the world, 1 Peter 1:18-21. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved, John 3:17. It was through the life, death and resurrection of Christ that all who will believe in Him will He give victory over sin, death as Satan has no power over Jesus and those who are His own, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57.

Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb without blemish that was led to the slaughter who never opened His mouth during all the suffering He endured for His great love for everyone, Isaiah 53; John chapter 19; Hebrews Chapter 10. Jesus now sits at the right hand of God making intercession for us before God, Romans 8:34

Hebrews 9:16-18 In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.

It is kinda a legal thing going on, and it is about an inheritance to the children of God. In this case, Jesus allows us to be adopted into the family by "his" blood.

Colossians 1:15-20

1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Do you mean to say Jesus didn't suffer torture & shed blood in order to defeat sin/satan/death?

I thought what you wrote, went perfect with mine.

Of course He did, but it wasn't demanded of God as this was preordained of God through His only begotten So Christ Jesus before the foundation of the world. Jesus suffer and die in order to defeat sin, Satan and death for us giving us the victory over all of this. Jesus was the unblemished Lamb led to the slaughter, but yet He never opened His mouth during the whole time He was tortured and beaten, Isaiah 53:7; Matthew 12:14-21; 26:57-68.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

I think Jesus is the precious lamb that takes away the sin of the whole world.
God will defeat death, sin and Satan at the end of this earth's cycle. Revelation describes end times and what will happen to Sin, Death, Satan.
