PSALM 73
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well-nigh slipped.
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I, their end.
18 Surely, thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
SEEING FROM THE SANCTUARY
I was once at the Keswick convention and there were two preachers that night, both preached from Psalm 73. The first one stressed the first part of this wonderful psalm, the second one stressed the second.
It truly depends from which angle you are looking at. The psalm in the first fifteen verses sees the wicked prosper and wonders why.
He describes what the wicked do, and how seemingly they get away with the it, evil abounds and abounds and no one can halt it.
The psalmist is weary about thinking about this, and in verse 16, he is weary of this, and then we get the word
UNTIL
His perspective is turned on its head, not just does he see the end of the wicked, but he sees the blessed state of all believers.
Look at verses 23-28, God guides him, God counsels him, he will be received into heaven. God is the deepest desire of his heart, his strength and his portion.
Evil men will come to destruction, we have to leave that to God and not focus on those things, but we need to be in God's sanctuary gazing at the Glory of the Lord and knowing that we are blood bought children of God.
This is to be our focus.. amen.
Until you go into God's house, you cannot have the proper perspective on life.
God bless you

Psalm 5
1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
EARLY MORNING PRAYER
My wife Helen and a group of ladies rise up early six days a week to pray, to my shame, I do not always join them. but when I do, it is amazing. Because seeing the sun arise whilst you are praying starts the day in the best way possible.
We are most alert first thing in the morning. However, rising early can be difficult for most of us; believe me, I speak from experience. The devil hates it when we pray, especially when we start our day with a conversation with God, because in the that part of the day, there are no distractions. No one is phoning us up, no one is texting us at 6am.. unless our friends are light sleepers!!!
Jesus is our example in getting up in the morning. Many times Jesus prayed all night, and experienced His Father's presence in the morning.
Do you take the opportunity to seek the Lord in the morning? I know that when I don't pray early in the morning, my day does not go well.
The Lord wants to hear from you at the start of each new day. For some, your day may start in the evenings because of your occupation. Beginning your day with God will give you the joy and peace to face the challenges that each day brings. So, when you rise, allow a praise to rise from your lips to God’s ears.
God bless you
