Real Christians

That's what we all need to strive to be. By that I mean virtuous.
With God's grace we can walk alongside others instead of judging them.
Some may appreciate a Bible verse or two. But many or most just need a kind ear. A respectful presence.
They don't need lectures. They don't need eternal damnation threats. They need to restore hope and avoid despair. They want a meaning to their lives. A kind ear, or kind word will help them see this world is not all gloom and doom. Some people really do care. They may become attracted to the Light. And hopefully that true Light is coming from you.
These words really made my day.

Who can live up to the Holy Spirits perfection?.

Exactly.

I'm with you on the sentiment, but we are expected to try. Be ye holy even as I am holy, and it's all throughout Proverbs to be diligent about it. You see, when we come to Christ and are born again then we are babes in Christ, right?

But we have to grow spiritually. He wants us to be mature Christians. When Jesus comes back for His Bride...He's not coming for infants. Of course we could never do this of our own power, but that's why we remain in Christ. We are fond of saying, ...in Jesus name. We know there's a lot of authority in His name, But(!) you ever do a word study on "name"? Essentially it means Character. So in Jesus name, means in Jesus's character. And believe me Brother, when I am in Christ then Christ is in me. And let allows his character to come out through us unto others. It's actually done not by us or our power and strength but rather by us yielding to the Holy Spirit. One hundred percent. It is then, that rivers of flowing water and life flow through us like scripture says.

And that other crap about feeling gay to say I love Jesus...that's the flesh talking. The world. The fact is Brother..in a moment. in a twinkling of an eye we will be transformed...into...we don't know but that it has not yet appeared what we shall be, but I guarantee you one thing, we will be living on a higher plane of existence. One which is much higher than any physical relationship could ever achieve. Physical relationships are the flesh so are materialistic and we have to put that down and grow spiritually instead. So...be ye holy even as (He) is Holy...! We can do this. With Christ in us.

Did you ever have the stations of the cross? That is what really made me think of how much Jesus suffered. I was at school then and I wanted to reach out and touch Him, comfort Him , and take His pain away. I have loved Him ever since.
I never liked the stations of the cross, as we had to stand in front of each station every morning during mass. To me, it was something I had to do to get an education in a Catholic school.

As a child, I wept when I read how Jesus suffered for us. It still hurts my heart that he had to go through all that pain and suffering, but I know he is no longer on the cross. He is the risen King and Lord.

How's this one? Is the following over the top?
"Real Christians are so in love with Jesus Christ, they can't wipe the smile off their face?"
They can't help but transfer that love to others....
If that really is true, I need to work on my smileability. ?
I think I see a smile forming around the corners of Grumpy's mouth, yep there it is. :)

So it's easier for women to love Jesus. As he is the opposite sex. It feels like a marriage made in Heaven.
It will be a marriage that even now is being made in heaven as we (men and women) are the bride and Jesus is our Bridegroom.

We all can.
It starts with a real, true, permanent, turn from sin.

Good things take time. I will probably be more rigteous in another 20 years. I cant just change in a second and be righteously perfect.

Why not?
What do you blame for keeping you from walking as Christ walked?
I had a job, friends, alcohol, pot and other drugs, sexual proclivities, neighbors, family, and more all standing in the way of righteousness.
I couldn't shed them piece by piece, but had to do it all at once and let the chips fall where they might.
I thank God for all the tools to make it possible!!!
