Really really worried

Hi, first of all, I am not a Catholic or of any denomination, just a Bible-believing Christian.
In the parable of the sower, the second type of soil is the rocky type. I'm afraid I might be part of this kind. Though I think that I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour, I haven't really noticed change in my life. I have some sinful habits. Also, the parable says that the 2nd type will easily succumb to persecution. I believe that this might have happened to me. When I was talking with my uncle, I told him that I was a creationist, and he ridiculed me. The next time we met, he asked me if I was still a creationist, and I said that I wasn't sure (even though I really knew that I was! I was afraid to be ridiculed again). The second situation was when I was talking to my catholic classmate, and he was laughing at this thing he heard at a Christian church. I didn't want him to think of me as stupid or anything, so I just went along with him and didn't oppose him at all, even though I knew he was wrong. Can I still be saved? Help!

I uses to have a paper I had gotten from a Bible study that talked about this parable and how you could apply it to your life. But my family members eventually lost it through repeated handling of my Bible despite my telling them to be careful not to lose it. But anyway.

As new Christians we all have much to learn, and something like this is one of them. I even have trouble with this sometimes. I am the kind of person who tries to please everybody even though I know I can't and that I shouldn't try. So I often just go along or pretend to go along with what they say.
And I know I'm born again.

We all have things we need to work on.
Me? I often feel like the thorny ground. I tend to spend so much time doing things that don't help me with my walk that it keeps God's sunlight from reaching me and helping me to grow more. That's something I've always struggled with.

One thing to do is pray and ask God to forgive you, but also ask Him to give you the strength, courage, and willpower to help you do better. And then? Put some effort into doing better.
You're still going to mess up sometimes. Don't stress yourself too much about it. Satan will try to use your failures against you. But the only real failure is to give up.

Hi again ainsley. The thing you worry of is them that are not saved; you've already received the Lord. As to having a battle now that you're a believer check out Romans Chapter Seven where the Apostle Paul experiences all kinds of problems in his faith until he figures the solution and in Romans 8:1 pointing back to everything he just said in Romans Chapter Seven he proclaims: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Blessings in Christ Jesus. :)

Hi, Ainsley. Do you think it might be possible for two Christians to disagree about some things but both are still saved?

:)

Hey Ainsley, God has already forgiven you for the sins that you haven't even committed, so don't worry about that! Everyone has that moment in our life when we feel like we are on the rocky ground, and we face struggles and pain. But the best way to get yourself through this is by not being embarrassed for being a Christian and by staying close to God by praying regularly and reading the bible often so you can keep your mind on him. One thing that's helped me a lot to keep my mind on God is my WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) bracelet, it might sound weird, but it can make such a huge difference if you constantly see the bracelet and it makes you think "If Jesus faced this at the moment, what'd he do?" and that way you can keep your mind focussed on him and not do sinful things. It's natural for us to sin, and we can, but the least thing we can do is try to reduce the sin so we can be happier and have a good life. :) And at the end it will be all worth it, eternal happiness! How does that sound to you? Imagine the happiest you've ever felt on earth, but than having that feeling so much stronger, and eternally with no pain or other bad feelings! It really also influences your friends if they see that you are a Christian and have an active relationship with God, it makes them wonder "Wow Ainsley has a massive faith and she's so happy! I wish I could have that too." and that way they can approach you and you can tell them how to get the happiness as well, and that way they will be saved too.

I hope this helped you, and I'll be praying for you!

Blessings,
Josh.
