A young preacher claims the reason God created man last is: He said that if God had created man on the first day (or before the creation of animals) man would have boasted he helped God during the creation of the rest.

Perhaps science could've drawn strange conclusions from there.
 
Seems possible.

Another possible reason is that he loved us so much he wanted to give us his complete masterpiece
