(Rev 8:8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood,)
Could this be a Asteroid that will hit the earth described by the Book OF Revelation!
I suppose it depends what the Bible means by 'huge mountain.' How big is 'huge'? If an Asteroid is sufficiently large enough ie this article states a 1mile wide asteroid would destroy ALL life on the planet, although any asteroid strike would be disasterous.
What does it mean "A third of the sea turned to blood"? How does that fit with an asteroid strike? Why is it that it states that 1/3 of sea life and 1/3 of ships (!) will be destroyed?
What's the obessesion there with 1/3?
How *big* exactly is a 'huge mountain'? For myself, I wouldn't call a 1 mile wide mountain 'huge', and that's apparently enough to wipe out all life on Earth!
Yes, I do believe it will be as you say, a one mile wide impact will most likely occur. The reason the sea turns to blood is because it is God’s judgment falling upon mankind. There are thousand of huge asteroids out there that we can not see. For sure one of them has the name earth written all over it.
But we will not be here, praise God, Jesus will save us from the trial that is coming upon those who live on the earth. I pray that I will be counted worthy to leave this place and be with our Lord Jesus when He comes!

Okay, so the bit of the verse talking about the asteroid is literal, but the river turning to blood is not? Also, why would only 1/3 turn to blood?
Also, the verse says that 1/3 ships, sealife etc.. will be destroyed, but if it's a 1 mile wide asteroid, ALL life on the entire Earth would be destroyed.
the river turning to blood, if it does symbolise God's judgement, then that's all you need to know. It may or may not be that rivers turn to blood, but it is fact that God's judgement will be there.
