Thank D and thanks for the link.
I've been taking a break and though I am still here, I will be cutting down on my posting and reading time. ...and administrative duties. I need to work more on a local level, starting with myself... and family. 8-)
I'm really troubled by what I am seeing all around us. While we may sit behind our keyboards and beat up on the likes of the RCC and other Orthodox faiths, the SDA and other sabbatarians, whether or not there will be some sort of rapture and when it will be, etc. we need to open our eyes to the less obvious things.
Yes, we do need to speak out against totally unneeded abortions, homosexuality and same sex marriages and all the other immoralities that plague society and the church. We need, however, to especially speak out about the dangers of this "seeker friendly" movement.
It is sucking in people from both the ecumenical and evangelical Christian sides like a black hole sucks in light. ...and where there is no light, there's only darkness.
I often refer to Matthew 13:31-33 and how I feel it relates to an unatural growth of the Church. We of the Body don't "lodge" in the branches, we are GRAFTED into the tree!
Further down, in Matthew 13:47-50, we read this:
Matthew 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Matthew 13:48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Matthew 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Matthew 13:50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Think about it...
