When I saw this news on TV' it hurt because I liked Robin, and I have known for years about him being Bipolar and I understood that part of him because so am I. So I understood what he was fighting on down to the self medicating with drugs and alcohol. So I feel really bad about what he was going through with the catastrophic depression. And even if you are a Christian you are not exempt. There are cases where God takes it from you and there are millions of cases where He does not. But through God's medication' because it is His because man can't come up with nothing unless it was in the mind of God first. But anyway with medication many are able to cope and lead a normal life. And then you have those who deal with it trough out their lives without ever taking medication. And some of them turn into a wreck as they age. Many turn to substance abuse' which while high you have no worries or torment' but when you come down you are in trouble because of the worsening of the chemical imbalances in the brain.

yes but this man tried to help others through it. does football players have this too? yup. all levels of lifelyhood have this type of issue. yes living holy may reduce the chances of getting some of the problems but there IS NO promise of a peaceful, pristine life if one serves god.

Despair & Addiction is not prejudiced, in the rooms of AA and NA I have seen doctors, judges, gays, very poor people, and very rich, people, drag queens, you name it I have saw it. Being a star gives you money to do so. Now there are stars who just won't touch any of the stuff like Eddie Murphy he hates the stuff drugs and alcohol, and has never indulged. My uncle who wad the drummer for Dinah Washington hated the stuff, and there are countless others.

Agreed brother. Addiction knows no boundries, along with other temptations. That Eddie Murphy can stay away from the bad stuff with all the money and so forth is impressive, I didn't know that.
 
Yeah Ed, Eddie hates the stuff you can't even come over his house with that garbage.

Good for Eddie. Same thing here almost. I used to be a big weed head but not anymore. I'll let my friends pass a bowl around in front of me, but tell them no to pulling out anything else. Which I've been asked numerous times, lol. I don't really want to kick out the weed heads because It's not up to me to judge them, and also, many many times the subject turns to the Lord and chances are good that I do some good seed sowing.

It's amazing how big of a pot-head I used to be and how easy it is for me to turn it down now. They routinely pass me the bowl in their stupor, but I have not ever "forgot" or absent-mindedly took it. There's no desire or temptation there at all any more. Praise the Lord! :)

For sure.There is one exception.Steven Baldwin.He had other brothers who are actors as well.Steven's wife became a Christian.Steven lived the glamorous movie star life.Huge mutimillion dollar home,several very expensive cars.Steven was devastated when his wife became a Christian.He was angry.One day he went to Church with his wife to see what this Jesus Christ was like who his wife had fallen in love with.Steven became a Christian.He sold his huge home and got a modest 3 bedroom home.He sold all of his luxurious cars and bought a....I forgot what it was but it could have been some short of Toyota??? He refused to star in the movies that were not appropriate anymore so he no longer got any rolls.He then started doing Christian documentaries.His family thought he was nuts so they stoppped associating with him.

On the news they are saying they have details of Robin William's suicide.I don't want to read any of it.He is gone.

Officials: Robin Williams apparently hanged himself with a belt

The personal assistant found Williams "clothed in a seated position, unresponsive, and with a belt secured around his neck with the other end of the belt wedged between the closed closet door and door frame," he said.

Williams' left wrist had cuts, Boyd said. A pocket knife was found near his body, and a red material consistent with dried blood was found on the knife, Boyd said. He said tests will be conducted to determine whether the substance is blood.

Williams was last seen alive at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, by his wife, when she went to bed, Boyd said. He apparently went into a bedroom at an unknown time after that. His wife left the home at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, assuming Williams was still asleep.

Williams' personal assistant, concerned because he wasn't responding to knocks on his door, entered the room and found him dead at about 11:45 a.m., Boyd said.
