I'm with you, Judy. But stuff like this gets under my skin:

This is not a personal attack against anyone. Just the plain facts.

You are free to lie to yours if you want to.

I apologize for any condescending statements I may have made... if I did so, it was because I was offended. But I truly apologize.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of replies for this, but the tooth fairy is visiting my daughter tonight. :o

And there IS a santa and tooth fairy! ME and my hubby!

She lost her first top tooth. She's lost 4 bottom teeth, but you couldn't see them as much as her top one. She looks like a Jack-O-Lantern!

No problem brother,

Have a great holiday. :D

Even just a couple of years ago I would still be pro santa and all the "traditions" that go along with it. But i'm now rebelling.
The reason being is the anti-christ spirit that is now so evident in the market place. When i pass government buildings all i see is "happy holidays", when i go to my local walmart all i see is santa-claus, reindeer, candycanes, and snowmen. I couldn't even find a nativity scene in walmart for cry'in out loud.
Because of the spiritual climate out there I no longer feel it's as innocent as I once did to tell my children about this santa who has booted my Lord and savior to the back seat.
I will lift up Jesus and him alone from here on out, it's time to buck the worldly traditions because we are in a different day now.
OFF WITH SANTA"S HEAD!!

I haven't read all that has been posted here so forgive me if I am repeating what someone else has said.

The problem I have with Santa is we attribute the attributes that only God has to Santa.
In one night Santa is able to be everywhere delivering presents. Omnipresence.
And Santa knows if you been bad or good and knows exactly what you want.. Omniscience.

So he isn't as innocence as some may think. Not to mention we have been to the North Pole and Santa's Village isn't there :P

Judy i'm sure you are exactly right, look where all this innocense has finally taken us. Jesus is finally outright getting the boot, would we ever be able to accept that without a clever and appeasing counterfeit? No, we would be raising hell.
Satan knows how to feed us a load of bull over a long period of time, and then what he's really up to finally comes into play.
I admit, i've been naive but now it's become apparent where it's been leading all along.

finally

Finally somebody gets it! Santa is a primer for the real thing. Santa is the adult version of Santa Claus.

The real Santa Claus adult version? :-?

What does that mean?

Christmas was originally a pagan holiday. I don't understand why people get so shocked when people choose to celebrate it as such!

Christians do not have a monopoly on December 25 no more than witches have one on October 31.

What's odd here is the same people who want absolutely nothing to do with "halloween" because of its pagan orgins go on and on about not taking Christ out of Christmas.

It's a DAY. (with pagan origins no less!)

Just like any other day throughout the year.

Very good discussion guys. Though heated at times, I appreciate the responses. I liked that little thing somebody put up too about the scientific break down of Santa's Christmas Eve where the reindeer catch on fire and all. lol.
