Satan Trying To Kill Jews HELP

Hey Guys,
There is a story in the bible where a king tries to kill all of the jews on the face of the earth, but somehow he was unsuccessful. He then was killed by being put on a pike of some sort. I do not know much about the story, but does anyone here? Where is it in the bible?
