I believe Scripture is an accurate account of the events it documents. (Scripture cannot be broken. John 10:35 RSV)

I believe the Word of God is those instances in Scripture where God or Jesus is quoted.

What do you think and why? (Please don’t say, “Because that is what I was taught.†Explain why that is what YOU believe. Thank you.)

Hmmm ... sounds like you have a very thin Bible.

I agree.

Also:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"~II Timothy 3:16 KJV

I begin most days by reading our of Psalms.

Gotta love those Psalms. They're so comforting. When I was depressed I read a couple of them every night, and they always seemed to say something that helped me in some way.

Gotta love those Psalms. They're so comforting. When I was depressed I read a couple of them every night, and they always seemed to say something that I could relate to.

Every morning I read a bit in the book of Psalms, and the next morning I take up where I left off the morning before. When I am finished, I start over.

All 66 books are the Word of God. I gotta agree with wayseer "sounds like you have a very thin bible".

I love the Bible but I worship God the Father. The point of the Bible is to point us towards him.

If, in your opinion, only the quoted words of God and Jesus are the Word of God, what is the rest of scripture?

The entire Bible is Scripture. It is what it is. There is a great deal of history in the Bible that allows you to understand the context of the teachings of the Lord. The Epistles and Proverbs are full of valuable advice. Revelation is full of predictions that one comes to understand as they grow older. Psalms has exhortations, history, and comforting words. The entire Bible is a revelation of the Lord's will and promise of good things that will come to us if we do his will.

Not quite what I was getting at. Do you believe that ALL of scripture is God's Word? Or just the red letters?
