Seventy Palm Trees and the Man Child

Benoni said:
Excuse for sinning; are you saying we do not sin?

I am a slave to sin and without the blood of Jesus I would be totally lost.
Benoni,

Sin is in our flesh warring against our mind so that we cannot do the things we would. Romans 7:20 and Galatians 5:17.

If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, even Jesus Christ, the righteous. 1 John 2:1.

Only through the blood of the everlasting covenant does God work in us that repentance that is pleasing in his sight by Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:20,21.

Praise God in Jesus Christ he has set our conscience free and has washed our bodies in the pure water of his word, the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the holy Spirit. Hebrews 10:22; Titus 3:5.

Amen, so what is your point? Are you saying you have no sin in you?

The Kings and Priest are mentioned in many places as literal and and examples in the Bible; these are not the every day run of the mill believer; these are the overcomers who will reign wit Christ on the throne; look at Acts 15:16 declares where the Tabernacle of David will be reestablished for the remainder of all heathen people.

also:

Obadiah 1:21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion (the high places of Ruleship in the kingdom) to judge the mount of Esau (Flesh); and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

Read the book of Hebrews in reference to the Melchisedec Priesthood,

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings AND priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.

Amen.

Spiritual Mount Zion in the Book of Revelation is where the King (Jesus) reigns with His overcomer King and priest

On another thread (Seven Seals) the topic of the man child is being discussed and it made me realize another distinction in the man child and the 144,000, or the two witnesses. God shows us the difference:

  • * Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings AND priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

    * Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings AND priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

The "kings" shall follow The King in every way. They are the "seventy palm trees" that shall be slain. Then, we have....the priests, the rest of the two witnesses.

I wonder, in the following verse, are the kings the saints and the priests the holy city being referred to symbolically?

  • * Revelation 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

  • Isaiah 23:

15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.

17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

18 And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
    KJV

SEVENTY .... denotes spiritual MATURITY and/or completeness

A person is, or should be mature at 70 years old = KING over what they possess and control.
For a group of people (trees)...prophesy was given to 70 elders Numbers 11:25
Jesus appointed 70 others (beyond t/12) who were given power over demons and performed miracles.
Also these 70 were sent out TWO by TWO, as WITNESSES of JESUS CHRIST!

  • Luke 10:1
10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. KJV

Note...70 weeks for thy people (saints) and 'thy holy city' (beloved) to FINISH....

  • Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.KJV

WW...this is my first time to connect Rev 20:9 & Dan 9:24 = 70wks/saints/city...Ret

:-) Thank you for making the connection and pointing it out. I was :shades but now I see. :yes
