Share! Jesus in the Holy Quran & Muhammad in the Holy Bi

You are very cleaver, VIC. You know how to escape from the question. Jesus speaks about whosoever believe! There are many priests and ministers claims that they cast out divils and heal the sick. Go and ask any Born Again. I know because you can not prove that exam so, you calaimed that it is for Apostles only!! So, if Gary Bee a believer let him prove that according to Jesus own test!!

I already asked Gary Bee to prove that he is a believer by passing the test which Jesus has gave us. I promised him if he drink a deadly poison without any effect, I will go to discuss with him. I found him ignores it!

Sorry. I was not trying to be clever at all. Nor am I trying to "escape" your question. There are some here who DO believe in Baptismal regeneration and Apostolic Sucession. Maybe they could shed some light on this. In the meantime, I leave you with the words of Jim Myers; B.A. at the University of Houston; studied at the Moody Bible Institute and Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, AR.

Those who advocate baptismal regeneration and the continuation of sign gifts often base their thinking on a particular understanding of Mark 16:16–18. Christians who disagree with these two doctrines also have become so accustomed to other interpretations of this passage that it becomes difficult to think of it in any other way. Nevertheless, a careful preview of the immediate context in Mark 16 reveals that our Lord addressed the eleven disciples when He rebuked their unbelief in the resurrection. If the disciples were to believe in His resurrection and identify withHis sufferings as they proclaim the gospel, He will deliver them from the promised divine temporal discipline for unbelief. When these disciples believe in Christ’s resurrection, accompanying supernatural signs will validate their gospel message.

Of course Gary ignored it. No one in their right mind would take a challange like that. That 'test' was for those in the apostolic age. It is no longer valid.
I am curious as to how you came up that it was only valid during that age. Is it because that test fails now that you must assume it was once valid? Or is it some context of scripture?

So far when I have asked about this passage, most Christians responded with "You can not test God" or "This section was added later and does not really belong to the Bible."

Heh. I stopped at the quote and didn't read it. That should teach me.

I would say it context it says that all believers should have the power.

Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

So Jesus tells the diciples to go and spread the good news. "Whoever believes" applies to people beside the 11. Likewise, the next sentence "those who believe" would also apply to others beside the 11 disiples.

I believe the passage suggests that only those whom the Apostles preached to and believed were the ones who were blessed with this power. It doesn't suggest it goes beyond those who were preached the Gospel by the Disciples.

Thanks Vic. I am sure you are also aware of the history of these verses in the ancient manuscripts.

Thanks for your posts here.

God bless you.

O yes I am Gary, but I didn't want to go in that direction. The verses are now with us and we must deal with them within their context. I can't just dismiss them away simply because some scholars say they were added later. 8-)

It is so clear that Jesus speaks of whoever believes, but when the Christians fails to prove it, they will try to escape of any way suit them! When any Christian preaches, he will refer to those verses of Mark that to spread the good news to all creation. And when they go to the illeterate indegiones people and they learn their own language, they bluf those poor people by claiming that they gained it by the Holy Spirit as Jesus marked the believer of new tongue, but when you challenge them with another sign which is of the deadly poison, they will escape by any apologizment, such as you can not test God or it is interpolation or it is only valid for early apostles.
But the most amizing answer is the last statment. Because Jesus speaks of those who believe. Who ever believe and baptized!!
You can feel how do they feel when you ask them such question, especially, when you find Gary Bee gives a hot thank for Vic just because he helped him how to escape from that charllenge. LOL!
WHAT A HYPOCRICY!! Believe me Quath if you test any Christian in this earth about his salvation, he would be failed by only one test!!

To the one who calls himself "Brother"

You stated:

Please test me about salvation!

Whose salvation are you speaking of?

Unless you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God you do not understand the truth!

Brother: "....And when they go to the illeterate indegiones people and they learn their own language, they bluf those poor people...."

Gary: Pardon. Say that again, this time in English....

:) :) :D :) :)

Brother: "But the most amizing answer is the last statment...

Gary: I agree.

:-? :-? :D :-? :-?

Brother: "Love your enemies" said my master Jesus

Gary: How is Jesus your master? How do you obey him? You are not asked to follow Jesus. As a Muslim, you are TOLD to use Muhammad as a role-model. Do you?

Jesus taught: "Love your enemies". Where did Muhammad teach this? Where is this teaching in the Quran?

If you cannot answer this..... IGNORE IT. That will be PROOF that Muhammad did NOT teach this.
