She's no lion!

The orphanage where I volunteer had to get rid of a couple of volunteers. The wife of one of them wrote a long and hateful letter to the orphanage director, who was upset about it. She said that we needed to pray for God to shut the mouths of the lions... I interrupted with "She's no lion!"

Folks, "All that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." But when your persecutor is a person who is not accomplishing anything, you just laugh it off.

She probably isn't a roaring lion, that is true. But don't underestimate the destruction a wagging tongue can do.

Brethren, I appreciate the thoughtful replies. The woman who wrote the hateful letter is not evil by any means. Her husband was banned from the orphanage, and she's upset. Writing a long and hateful letter was not the wisest thing to do, but she's no lion.

However, I stand corrected on the idea that there is no possibility of her causing problems. The Bible does indeed talk about the power of the tongue, and I hope that once she calms down, she will not continue this fight.
