Yes!!! I grew up with the Veggie Tales! Most of the songs deal with forgiveness and being a kind person for God. When I took religious education as a Cub Scout, we always started out with a veggie tales clip. I think every christian should listen to the Veggie Tales.

I do not know. Vegetables walking and talking. Sounds kind of satanic me. :screwloose

But seriously. It is for kids. I see their books in the children's section at my local Family Christian Bookstore. Wish I could get my kids to read them.

Years ago my sister-in-law refused to use a Red Devil vacuum, because it had devil in the name...but that is another story.

If you want satanic, go with McDonalds! They have talking plums that makes kids indulge in fatty food!

Now for your vacumm, I have a question. Is it a sin to eat Devils Food cake?

i think to answer the question about whether VeggieTales is good orn ot, we need to ask is veggie Tales a good role model, and that is yes. It teaches Biblical stories to young children in a way that they can understand in a fun way. The stories are not meant to always be boring, and VeggieTales is a way to make them exciting.

Is there anything wrong with VeggieTales?

Yes. It's makes me hungry, and I associate hunger with gluttony.

Murderer!!!!
How could you think of Larry the cucumber and Bob the tomatoe like that?!? :splat

Personally I love Veggie Tales, I think it's great for kids to have something appropriate and interesting to watch that teaches them a good lesson.

However.... I don't know, the "silly songs" always bothered me a little bit. Not to be extreme, but there is an age where I believe kids should be learning something slightly more intelligent than "Barbara Manatee, you are the one for me..." I mean, really? :screwloose A lot of these "silly" songs don't teach any kind of good lesson and I honestly don't think they are any better/different than what kinds watch on Nick Jr for instance.

But I think that's just my weird prejudice, stuff like that annoys me to an extent, though I'm not sure if it is necessarily sinful or wrong. Hmm...

There's nothing wrong with a little fun! I always enjoyed Larry's silly songs as a kid, and I have them on my cell phone! I can understand some of the topics though. I personally think love stories are not the best for children to hear about. Songs like Hairbrush arent too bad though.
