I can't view the video right now, but I'll look at it later.

I believe she is part of the word of faith movement. She distorts the Bible so, nope.. :naughty

:salute

If you have the gift of discerning of spirits, its a no brainer.

I believe that she started out as a primarily a womens ministry, so if she were teaching the truth then I dont see any problem in that regard. Men have ventured in more and more over the years and I dont see that as being Joyces fault, again, if she were actually teaching truth.
My main problem with Meyers is the same as my problem with every teacher preaching false doctrine...she isnt lining up with scripture in a number of cases. Some of her views, unless theyve changed, misrepresent the details about Christ and His sacrifice and atonement, if memory serves, but I did do a quick google search and seemingly something has changed in that regard since I last looked at her teachings.

I personally dont listen to JM because I dont like her teachings.

I don't know if I could would call it a no brainer or not, but I know what you mean. I used to watch and read Joyce Meyer...she had a lot of good things to say. But after some time, I began to feel "uncomfortable" when watching her speak. Same thing with Creflo Dollar. I used to watch him until I began to feel that same feeling.

To be honest, the only televised pastor that has ever NOT given me bad feelings is Dr. Charles Stanley with his Intouch Ministries. He speaks the truth, is not harsh, does not exploit his televised position and, best of all, focuses on God's love, mercy and grace. I also like Joni Lamb.

DS - what in particular do have an issue with in the You Tube link you provided?

Let me make Joyce Meyer as clear to you as I can:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You don't need the discernment of the Holy Spirit to figure that out....

The answer is: Why waste your time (or, God forbid, your hard earned money on keeping her living in a billionaire lifestyle as well as her whole family living on the payroll, etc.

If you get the chance, check out Dr. David Jeremiah. He's pretty solid, even if he is a pretribber. :D

As to the OP... only if I can get a ride in one of her private jets. :nono

we should rather "watch out" for JM :yes

Among many others: T.D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Joel Olsteen, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, John Hagee,...all those 'word of faith' teachers that believe we are "little gods", believe we must "give God permission to act in our lives through prayer"....etc.... :naughty

Although I do not agree with these people , I do believe in prayer. Jesus did too and He is the model we should look at when we pray for the sick and when we need a miracle.

I do not want to talk about woman in ministry, but that is the reason I do not listen to Joice. She is out of order with the Word of God.

1Ti 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

I guess, Joice must have missed this scripture. How many times do you think she ever teaches on this scripture. Maybe none.

This brings up an interesting point. Are women teachers sinning? Are women cops sinning? Women judges? Women governors?

Another important question: If Paul did not allow something, does that make it a sin?

Biblically yes they are since 1 Ti 2:12 says that they should not have authority of a man. As far as the church is concerned, Women can teach other women, as long as they do not have authority over a man in the Church.

I think the issue is whether they are in the confines of the church.

I am sure Joyce has wriggled out of the above text - as has every other female who aspires to teach - or make a profit... or whatever.

If you were to ask a 'woman preacher' or joyce herself, they would probably answer that 'things have changed' since Paul's words were penned. And in this I would be forced to agree. WE have changed but I do NOT think that the Word has changed a bit. There are REASONS that these words were written and if one CHOOSES to understand, all they NEED to do it read what Paul offered in explanation. Not only in the scripture tha was quoted, but there are NUMEROUS explanations offered throughout his letters to the numerous churches.

Blessings,

MEC
