Should Christians watch Judge Judy?

Judge Wapner called her a disgrace to the bench. And I agree, she talks down to people.

Now I love Judge Judy. I think she really tells it like it is. Too often people are in there because they are acting immorally and Judy calls them on it.

OK, I admit I do love the show. She is very blunt, but true. It's soooooo funny!

I don't think there's any harm in watching it.

As long as we do not pick up on it and start acting like her.
No reason not to watch.

TV its to amuse people, if it were boring it would not last !

The people who she is talking to some times , need that...........

I did stop watching it. She got under my nerves ?

Judge Judy is fun, though like many US sitcoms it is amazing how many people like to air their dirty laundry in public, as in Dr Phil. I don't think people in my country (Russian Federation) would dare do anything like that, nor my friends in Europe and the South Pacific where I am staying at this moment.
The question should be changed to "why christians should not watch judge Judy"

I think you bring up a great point here. I think it's important to understand that most judges in the United States would never act the way she does. Judges for the most part are very respectful and avoid outbursts.

And her husband, who has been her husband twice because they divorced and remarried is just as bad as her if not worse, he also talked down to people, he was very nasty.

all judges are lawyers, par for the course. I recently did jury duty and the judge was a former lawyer with a practice in accendent claims. i voted for him

Yes, I forgot about that.

Anyway, we're probably getting a little off topic here.

I watch the show once in a while. She can be overly rude and disrespectful to the witnesses and needs to dial it down once in a while. But she does seem to have some traditional values and often calls out people living together "playing house" and having illegitimate children. She gets credit for standing up and telling off those irresponsible people.

BTW, she makes 20 MILLION a year to do that show! :o
